Just got my magazine =)

Post » Tue Jun 08, 2010 11:50 am

Let's stop flinging around accusations of someone being a liar, etc., okay? It's not out of the realm of possibility that some folks have the magazine.

It wouldn't be so bad if some of the things he was saying sounded so....wrong. Dragon hunters sounds nothing like the elder scrolls since there are no dragons in Tamriel (except for Gods)

Im not using direct quotes because i dont want to get banned.

If you think Im lying you dont have to be in this thread.

Im trying to help out people that WANT info

You won't get banned, you just aren't allowed to transcribe the entire article. Direct quotes are fine.

However, I am with the others and really am having a hard time believing you. Perhaps its just the way you're simplifying things (is that player truly part of a group of dragon hunters, or is it something more complex? 18 skills? Not so sure about that). I just mean I'm having a hard time believing this, not calling you a liar, although a picture WOULD quell those others who do believe you are lying.

Go ahead and continue posting, I'll eventually read the magazine for myself anyways, so belief doesn't matter in the end.

enchanting is back, armour that looks very much like Elven from OB is in a screen too, new spell called Ice Spike.

Enchanting came back as one of the 18 skills?

Edit: because I did not like my post

Whats so bad about having only 18 skills?

I don't know. You see, it's not about the quality of the game's content, it's about the amount, around here. I don't undertstand it, but less of anything automatically seems to equal "dumbing-down", regardless of how it is implemented. Bluntly put, considering the series' history of useless and broken skills, focusing on a lesser amount but making them more unique seems like the way to go, to me. Bethesda doesn't cut down on content for the hell of it. They go for more balance and better implementation.

I also got the magazine. Graphics looks cool. And looks awesome.

"As Elder Scrolls IV: Oblion took place in Cyrodiil and not the actual realm of Oblivion, Skyrim shall take place in Cyrodiil again"-Todd Howard

And check this out

"We have a new inovative combat system that can allow you to battle new and dangerous bosses such as the Abominable Snow-Clause and his ravenous pet, the Were-Yeti!"

I have yet to wait for GI to arrive in my nearest GameStop so I think laying low from these forums until I read the magazine is a good idea

please say that you have to pay for enchanting and spellmaking from an npc instead of leaning over an altar. Paying for enchanting while making an item at an "altar" was idiotic

Skills are removed, Dual wielding is added.
I fear that soon Tamriel will reach a new age and discover guns and we'll all be playing "The Elder Scrolls VII: Generic FPS" with Endurance and Speed being the only attributes left.

Dan Ross, developer, can you confirm whether or not this is real? I'm not saying I don't believe the OP, but I remain skeptical. If it's fake, it's trolling, and against forum rules.

Failing that, OP, can you post anything regarding names, places, such? Any information like that?

Okay, Ill put one direct quote then, if that's okay.
