Just an idea for the Crytek team...

It's just an idea that crossed my mind, not sure if Crytek will spend time on it, likely not, but it's worth mentioning I think.

I've noticed a lot of people prefer Crysis 1 over Crysis 2 when it comes to more than just one play-through, multiplayer and even machine testing. Friend of mine also claimed Crysis 1 to be more hardware demanding than Crysis 2, even when using the high-res patch and DirectX 11 patch. I was like, well, that's great and all, but I do like using the latest techniques too and so does my GTX 580, there is no Hardware Tessellation in Crysis 1...

And that is where the idea popped up, since Crytek brought it as a patch, wouldn't it be possible to patch Crysis 1 to have Hardware Tessellation as well? I would so love to play Crysis 1 again if it would mean some lovely Hardware Tessellation got added. (And a bit less moderate than in Crysis 2, please.)

Call me crazy, but I would even pay for it, as I doubt Crytek has the time and money to spare for making a large patch like this for an aging title. Well, that was my 2 cents, curious what others may think. :)

But Crysis already is the best looking game on the planet of all time.

Maybe they'll do it, but I doubt this would fit in their production schedule.
