I think I have an idea for a RP that might actually be kinda interesting. I have never made one before and probably won't make this one but it might be benificial to people on here so I thought I'd mention it. It would be an interview similiar to the book World War Z. it would be a way of telling a story so it would be benificial to those who like to write fan fics. At the very least you would only need to have two people to do this RP one the interviewer and the interviewie. It could be about anything from a war to everyday life. What does everyone think of this idea for an RP? If yall like it you can take the idea I don't care for hosting an RP but would love to read it.

Erm, I'm kind of confused in a way. So let me get this right; you interview each other? Is there any plot to it or anything? I haven't read the book you mentioned so that's probably a problem to me.

ok well it would have to be around a central topic. you can have one interviewer and one or more interviewies. Does that clarify?

I'd be an interviewie if you want one, but I would recommend, Illusionary Nothing, BSparrow, etc.

Okay I kind of know what you're getting at now. I don't have a lot of spare time for RPs (except today, as the weather svcked) but if it is very relaxed then I might give it a shot.

I would say read the book. But Redmer should be able to explain what it's all about fully

Doesn't really sound like an RP, to tell you the truth. Looks like it'd end up as an inn RP like thing (and goodness knows how well that went over)

Honestly, I would say it would end up rather boring. Just dialogue, dialogue, and more dialogue :shrug:

actually, Darkom, it is my understanding that there have been great inn rp's at one point, but DDI certianly didn't live up to their legacy.

oh I"m sorry I was hopeing one of yall could take the idea and run with it I don't have the time to run an RP. And your right that it wouldn't be like a traditional RP it would be telling a story more like a fan fic exept it would fall under a RP status because you would be telling the story from your characters point of view and have to react to the questions that the Interviewer gives you.

Let me just restate that I have no intention of running this RP I only posted the idea.

It's not a problem. Keep thinking of ideas and throw them at there, you'll get experience that way.

well, even ideas thread do you a great service, as it keeps the creative juices flowing so to speak and gives you a better understanding of what will and will not work as a TES fan-fic or rp.

Regardless of how good inn RPs have been, their finale was rather disappointing.

If you can't run an RP now, keep it on tabs for later. That's what I do with my stories, I've still got two or three half finished, only one not closed on this forum, and perhaps a dozen more ideas in a folder on my desktop, which gets added to every time I'm struck with inspiration.

I think a whole thread devoted to sharing story ideas that you don't have time to write could be a good idea, actually.
