Well, I'd pre-order the game, first of all, as soon as I was able to.
I'd open up the game, take out the map, tape it to my wall over my computer. As it installed I'd read the manual, and when it was finally done I'd start up the menu screen, grinning. First things first, character creation. I'd probably be a Wood Elf (always been my starter character), and I'd choose generic Thief stats wanting to test out the new features of the game that I've been hearing so much about.
Actually, you know what I'd do, first thing? I'd just make a quick character, run in, and test things. If there's any form of free-running, I will free-run, hands down that'll be my first thing to do. If there's climbing/edge grabbing in any way/shape/form you can count on me to be one of the first people to post a screen-shot from on top of the tallest thing in the "starter area". Then, I will descend into the land of "Conversations", I'd want to see how they improved in that area. I'd do things like jump into the water and swim, throw stuff around to see how the physics are, practice using a sword/bow, learn a spell or two just for giggles, and finally, I'd attack a citizen/guard, it's practically an obsessive compulsive habit of mine. When I start something new, rather a mod, a new TES game, or when I get frustrated, I attack a guard. Then I'd go to jail, if there's the option, and look around for a while. I'd test to see if there were any ways I could do animations, I'd get out of jail and test the unique features that everybody in the forums has been talking about. And then I'd go to the main menu, and start a new character. No roleplaying on this one. Main Quest, Guild Quests, and a few side quests.
After I beat the game, I'd make a roleplaying character, and then the REAL fun will begin.
