Just imagine how it will feel

It depends completely on my expectations of the game. I'll definitely be watching the trailers and gameplay sneak peaks, and how it looks and the storyline and setting will have an effect on how awesome I will feel when I place the disk onto my Xbox.

The day it gets announced, I will back a phone alert for about six months later. When I get the alert, that's when I'll go out to get the game because it will be half-price by then.

I love games, as much as the next bloke. I play games for a bout 3 hours or more a day. But I don't splurge a hundred bucks just because a new game is released. I wait for a verdict, make sure its not bug ridden, steam-infested etc and then wait until its half-price and get it. I'll do the same with TESV, Diablo III and other games as I have with Dawn of War, Oblivion and Age of Empires 2 and 3.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still make sure I get the game.....just maybe I won't be as excited as some of you guys.

EDIT : Ooooooh yeah baby! Adept rank! Bow before me! ;)

I'll rush to the store and buy the game. Then I'll drive off to use my grandchildren's PS9 in my hover car.

Meh.

First thing I'll find out if they fixed ANYTHING about the rulesystem.

Second will proably be that they dont.

Third thing will probably be: "Meh, I'll wait for the GOTY edition instead."

It's gonna be pretty surreal.. by the time ESV comes out it will have been about 5 years since that feeling came along last.

I'm actually gonna wait before playing it. I don't know why I do this, but when I get a game or something that I'm really excited about, I usually just chill for a bit and stare at it before playing it and let the anticipation build up. I'll be getting that huge game guide with it too so I'll probably read that for a few hours while smoking a few bowls. Any other tokers here or am I gonna feel awkward after saying that?

To me, it'll feel like the most epic download in the history of man. I'll be sitting there pumping out music from the Elder Scrolls and folk metal all day until the massive download completes. (Yay for Steam)

Of course, if I can manage to find a physical copy of the PC version in stores first (which seems almost impossible nowadays), then I'll probably just sit there huffing the smell of the manual while reading it and waiting for the install process to finish.

Either way, then commences the all day playing sessions until I complete every single quest in it and level up every major skill and attribute I have. Followed then by a very short break that follows into more playing sessions the second they release an expansion or two.

"They better have snakes..."

Then it's either

"This is the best game in the world!"

or

"They don't have snakes but this is still the best game in the world!"

I'll open the box, stick it in the xbox and read the whole manual. Then I will tell my brother that no, he can not play Halo Reach today.
