Yeah, I'm coming away with around 6-8K worth of loot every time they come after me. The NCR hit squads didn't seem to appear nearly as often.

Absolutely! I tried that two times in different ways, one with an Anti-Mat. Rifle from the tower and another by bugging the vertibird. Awesomeness occurred both times!

I spoke to him and found out alot about his past, he's not enterily wrong in some aspects, but in many he makes mistakes, one of then, is to think slavery is a correct thing, not to mention, demoralize women, you don't see a single woman in their army, only working as slaves.

He's full of wisdom, but he's taking it the wrong way, and he dosn't want to change he's way, so, i'll kill him as well after some time, just need to get a little more trusted by their ranks before i blast then... it hurts more when it comes from the one you less expect. To me the NCR are the nice enough, the only problem with then is the ones on top, being greedy and corrupt. Like cassid says, the soldiers are not the ones that deserve the punishymant, but the ones controlling everything away from the dangers and risking people's lives for their own sake. If something could be done to those, they would be alot better.

The only ones i see that are good enough to be considred completely positive, are the followers of the appocalipse. Caring for the ones that don't know how to procced and finding ways to improve their life style. The Brotherhood imo, as a nice goal of preventing people from abusing powerful tecnology, IF they did try to teach others to avoid going wild with such tecnology, try to help others and such, instead, they take everything they demm too tecnological for then, and keep it to thenselves, it wouldn't surprise me if at some point of they ever get powerful enough again, they would try to take over everything just like the enclave, and force people to abide to their life style, and let's not forget, if you follow the path of freeing new vegas from any kind of tyrant, they will go start to patrol areas for caravans that carry energy weapons and force the merchant to hand then over to then...

Now Mr.house, i didn't exactly see anything wrong with him just yet, he cares to protect new vegas, not to mention, he's responsible for many of the tecnologies the world has atm in fallout, without him, new vegas wouldn't even be standing there after the bombs feel, if you listen to his explanation, he says he used anti missile measures to avoid that vegas from being completely destroyed.

The only problem I have with House is that he could have saved countless lives when the bombs fell, but chose to only protect NV. Why exactly he did this I cant remember but Ulysees had somthing to say about it.
Other than that, House just has problems with anyone who seems that they could pose a threat to him even if its just a possibility.

House says if you ask him that he couldn't save the whole world.

Spoiler

Also you have to remember that he couldn't even fully protect the surrounding area with what he had available. He needed the chip, which never arrived in time.

With the chip being so important and expensive, and only able to just update the defences to protect Vegas and its surroundings, I'm guessing more than that would be too much, even for someone like the President of RobCo.
The real problem though might be in that he thinks of only himself as the only saviour(and considering the other pre-war factions I don't blame him). So a lot of money may have gone on making his immortality machines, instead of saving more people/areas and maybe finishing the upgrades sooner.

But if he had done that then all he would've achieved was make sure the city wasn't in complete ruins.

The city is in ruins mostly due to disrepair, that's how I understand it at least.

Bombs did fell around though: Black Mountain, Nellis, Sierra Madre(the mountains not on the casino), and possibly Big MT, though it's not the reason the mountain became a failed rocket.

He does say how many bombs he managed to neutralize though. Seven passed through.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

The Lucky 38 would've been gone without him.

A few did, I think only seven or eight of the seventy seven dropped on the Mojave actually blew up though.

With the Platinum Chip, House could have saved the area around Vegas, totally. He could not have saved everyone, even with the Chip, though he might have been able to protect a larger area. It was all a matter of how many warheads he could stop. Without the Chip, he totally protected Vegas, and reduced the damage to the surrounding area.

As to Caesar, I found that giving Boone a 12.7mm SMG is pretty good for wiping him out. I was hopped up on Med-X, and kind of stayed out of the fight as much as I could, since I was half-hoping Boone would get offed. Kind of like the end of Gladiator: husband to a murdered wife, father to a murdered child, gets his vengeance but dies in the process. Would have been the perfect end. But he made it out, managing to kill more than half of the Praetorians on his own. So he eventually goes back to his old unit, I think.

I'm not saying I'm a fan of the NCR, but I like them better than Caesar, and I'm not sure I trust House: the mass-murder of the Brotherhood doesn't sit will with me, makes me suspect his motives. And the Courier clearly has no concept of how to rule, with him in charge, things degenerate into anarchy

House only wants the Brotherhood gone because if they ever rise to power again, they would be a threat to the Mojave. He would rather not go to war again after he powers up his robot army.

I think of it as House crunching numbers. If war were to break out between a rejuvenated Brotherhood of Steel and his robot army, then many lives would be lost. Many citizens would get killed in the crossfire. And the BoS would also suffer severe casualties.
But most likely it's a money thing with House. It's cheaper (resource wise) to just end the Brotherhood threat now than to go to war with them later. Honestly, it's the same reason all the factions give as their reason to take action against them. Not only that, but if House were to go to war against the Brotherhood at a later time, then he would put Vegas in jeopardy. The NCR would still be alive and kicking because they are Vegas' biggest customers. If the NCR sees House being busy fighting a war with the Brotherhood, then the NCR could take that opportunity to attack Vegas and claim it as their own.

House is just smart enough to foresee these dangers. And chooses to avoid them.

Also The Courier (in the Independent side) believes the people of the wastes are better at taking care of themselves.

Regardless of what faction you play, the Brotherhood's codex argues with the renewal of human society, and they are a threat to just about every ending. Even NCR's.

For a House-ruled Mojave, they seriously are a group of organized terrorists with power armor. If it is an action that spares technology and "knowledge", they would wipe out an entire settlement. Veronica's "leave the brotherhood" side of "I Could Make You Care" shows this. The Brotherhood murders an entire camp of Followers.

"You don't see the Brotherhood ransacking hospitals or promising technology of that sort. No, they seek technology that PUTS people in hospitals" -Mr. House.

They should be killed in just about every ending except for NCR, and their motives are still blurry even in that ending.

I agree with your post, but it seems pretty established that this action is NOT sanctioned by the BoS; rather, this is a rogue group whose deaths at your hands (if that's how you handle it) isn't even noted by anyone else in the faction.

Pretty much. I mean most of the named NPCs in BOS are ok people(and they feel like people unlike the white knights in the east), but they have a thing with others having technology. Even if you don't tell Veronica to leave them, and even before the quest ends, they clearly show no chance of them evolving out of that codex.

And you know there was this guy who said something about not being the strongest(power armour) species that survives but the one willing to change and adapt to the environment. Or something like that anyway.

That's not the vibe I got.

Those people were talking about Veronica betraying the Brotherhood and selling secrets to the Followers.

I doubt they went rogue with those beliefs. If they didn't act without a leader's command and just reported it there would've been the same result.

They may not have gotten permission or orders directly from Hardin(though I am sure he would endorse it) or Mcnamara, but I'm sure the Brotherhood in general has become too xenophobic to care about it's members killing anyone who doesn't posses a threat to them, or possess technology that they "should" only have.

Also as far as house saving the lives in new Vegas instead of the city itself..
Pretty much shot down a vast majority of the rockets that was in the Mojave. The people died not by the impacts of the rockets but the fallout afterwards from the few that did fall. Its stated that the citizens came out and cheered when he shoot the rockets down but then died because of the fallout that washed over them.

I knew there was a reason behind it but its been months since i played NV (or F3) so im kinda rusty on the lore.
