I remember the exhilaration of going to the Fort for the first time. Good for you for being able to take Caesar out, that is a very tough battle.
Yeah, I used unlimited companions, and it still is a tough battle. 1st try I died (only used Sleepytime, didn't know they're badasses), 2nd time Veronica died, 3rd try I died (tried to cover Veronica), so 4th try I just whipped out my shotgun and went crazy
I honestly don't see much point in killing Caesar as it changes virtually nothing other than killing him being of small consolence. Kind of like killing Osama Bin Laden did nothing other than be a symbolic kill. Kiling Caesar does nothing but change the Legion sometime post-game. You're arguably doing more harm than good. The Legion for all its sins is undeniably a foothold of stability in the region they control. By killing Caesar, if it crumbles and falls back into anarchy, then you essentially brought lawlessness and chaos back to 4 states.
I'm against the Legion, but I just want to see them stop being able to advance/take Hoover Dam. To me, helping House is the way to go
Because of Chief Hanlon. Old man is good guy. I heard if you off Caesar he won't off 'imself, so I offed Caesar instead.
How could you side with the NCR three times!
Yeah, well 1st play is just a test play (no mods no DLC whatsoever), to see how FNV looks like. 2nd play NVEC and Project Nevada bugged out in Novac, uncontrollable fps drop there, while Novac is my base
So this is 3rd try. No fps drop
. Gonna go for independent and house for next playthroughs. Might try Caesar for once. Do you guys side with Powder Gangers if you RP a Legionary?
The Praetorians have Ballistic Fists, Caesar has a Displacer Glove.
- Vice-Chairman of the Pedantic Society
Well I didn't really remember who got what, but I did loot lots of Ballistic Fists
Have fun fighting off Legion assassination squads three times a day. Actually, I hope the Assassination Squad will come after me :/ I haven't seen them in my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs. Perhaps because of Project Nevada? Or Mission Mojave? I encountered them in my 1st play, and it was a [censored] though fight. 6 reloads. Love it.
If you're not gonna side with Legion then kill Caesar and tell Lanius to go back to his lands.
The difference between Caesar and Lanius is that Lanius cares about the lands they control. Caesar doesn't.
The ending dialogue with Lanius shows this, Caesar is willing to lose control of his easternmost lands just to take control and focus on Vegas.
Lanius wants to strengthen his lands, he doesn't want a bunch of unnecessary bloodshed for some city if it means that his lands will be lost.
Not to mention that Caesar still has that tumor of his, which in case they can't cut it out he'll die.
Caesar also has a big ego, shattering his vision twice doesn't bode well for anybody.
Caesar is also getting old, he has no known successor beyond Lanius.
And Lanius cares more about the lands they control than Caesar do.
Isn't Laius in Legate's Camp? I can only speak with him at Hoover Dam battle?
I found assassinating him on the operating table to be much more satisfying than just killing him outright. Killing their leader while still maintaining your reputation with the Legion is the greatest kill in my opinion.
Yeah well, I sided with Boone. He got my respect, so I brought him with me for some mass killing
I've never killed Caesar, I find him to be a great man. Putting people on a cross is terrible, but he only does it to no-good traitors. The entire town of Nipton was "Purified" because they turned on the very people that lived there. I have sided with the NCR, Yes-Man, and the Legion. All of the times I cured Caesar of his tumor. He's a much nicer person than the Legate is. The Legate is a blood-thirsty ruthless killer.
Yeah, I agree with his laws. I have to admit that what Vulpes Inculta said is very just, and they seem to deal with corrupt people very seriously. But still, slaves.
