So I just killed Umbra on default difficulty

Gawd damn that woman is TOUGH! She took me down to half health with one swing of her awesome sword. I had her chasing me around vindasel for 25 minutes, and none of my light armor had enchantments except my claymore and my wrist shackles (yes i still use them +12 strength). I found the easiest way to kill her was to take her into the room with poison gas, we would fight a little, I would run away (I had no potions except for like 5 to restore my magicka for healing spells). She killed me a couple times but I eventually got her. Your sword is mine now betch! Now its just sitting on my desk in my room in Skingrad, along with the Ebony Blade and Goldbrand. Next up Azura's Star! (which will probably sit on my fireplace mantle in my Skingrad home next to Voltag).

Lol. I always magically break her weapon. She then sticks it in her inventory and switches to H2H. Then pickpocket the blade from her and slip away. I would never hurt her; it's the sword that corrupts her, so my characters always just take it from her. I also find that to more fun than killing her. Glad you accomplished what you wanted though! :foodndrink:

Oh, its great fun and really takes some detailed and fun planning with disintegrate weapon, sneak and such. Not to mention the minor detail of staying alive!

Clever idea Acadian, I wouldn't of even thought you could do that.

I can't wait to face Umbra with my next warrior, my current archer killed her off pretty fast but will be expecting an epic battle with the warrior, it will only be the third time I've killed her

I've never let her live..I took her shield though so I can enchant it in her memory. ^_^ Although letting her live leaves her to be the most mindless npc in oblivion..she'd be happier dead. :dead:

I've not ventured into Vindasel with Sellik at the moment. He passed it whilst travelling to Bravil with his two companions, but a gathering of greater daedra outside was enough to deter him from seeking out the treasures within.

I'm sure he'll go back if he ever finds a reason to though. *wink, wink* Clavicus *nudge, nudge* Vile.

I tried a variety of things, the most useful of whichwas invisability and sneak attacks, then I heppene to look in the chest she has and found a sword of disintegration, it was all down hill from there.

How come that you didn't use Goldbrand? It would have taken you only a few minutes to get her... Goldbrand is stronger than the blade Umbra. Try and see;-)
