Just a minor thing with Aba daba honeymoon (more of a nitpic

I killed motor runner before starting this quest (I didnt know about it) but now starting the quest is an insta fail. Now its minor but shouldnt it only count as a fail when I have to deliver to Motor runner ? I should be able to the parts that arent related to him, because he isnt needed at the time. It dosent seem like a glitch, but its annoying when hes not relevant at the start of the quest.

Spoiler
He's relevant at some point though, you can't finish the quest if he's dead as far as I know.

But thats the thing hes not relivent for the first part or the second, so I dont see why it should insta fail, fail the last part fine, but not the first. I can kill a certain guy in the main factions life goes on...
I wonder if I can kill him before the uck 38 resets rep.

Think of it this way, because it's all the same quest... you're walking around the wastes and you find a key, completely unaware of what the key is for... and you decide to throw it in the lake (if that were possible). Later on, you walk through a huge cave, it's like 6 levels, at the end you kill the biggest Deathclaw ever, it's a Deathclaw Behemoth... and then at the end there's a locked door, behind that door is... whatever would end the quest... but you tossed the key in the lake, which someone would have told you about the location of that key and its purpose had you talked to them prior. You can't finish the quest.

Wouldn't you rather know that you can't finish the quest before you bother? The idea is supposed to be that you went through that, and by killing Motor Runner you basically tossed the key in the lake.

If that anology doesn't work for you... then just think of it as a "choosing sides" quest. You either help out the Khan by doing whatever, or help out the NCR. I think there's a way to do both, but they just have to be done in order. I don't think it's really a bug... just more a byproduct of open world gameplay vs linear games.

I am new here and looking for solutions to problems, but this still isn't right.

If I pissed motor-runner off, then it should have told me the quest failed immediately. !!PERIOD!! Other quests do this, what makes this one special.

I persoanlly failed the initial conversation entering the vault and didnt kill Motor-Runner so I could finish the quest at a later time. Now that I am trying to do it, he refuses to talk.

Even if interaction with Bryce Anders screwed the quest, I should have been informed.

I like the game, but problems like this make it extremely unenjoyable. I know the answer I will get is not to play it, but maybe someone should have played it more before realeasing it.

Now see, that's a glitch... I failed the Aba Daba Honeymoon quest immediately after I shot Motor Runner (he attacked me immediately but the trigger didn't happen until I took my first shot). Did your companions kill him before you even attacked?

I told my followers to wait outside. I was alone with him so I was in full control.

Why would the chick at the door when you enter the first time be so important. And why wasn't I told when I killed her that the quest failed.
