Just one question

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:28 am

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site but have been lurking for several days and as I didn't find an answer to my question I decided to post it.

We all know Brink will be heavily focused on teamplay, and one of the ways to contribute with something to your team is to do the objectives.
So here comes the question, will Brink have context sensitive objectives? in example lets say that a team's mission is to blow up a gate and the other team has to hold that gate
the first team succeed and blows up the gate, will the second team receive a mission as a reaction of the first team blowing the gate?
If not then I guess every team will get an amount of missions they need to see wich one finishes faster, either way for me its a win-win situation as I like the game already.
And taking the leaderboards away to encourage team play was an explendid idea.

Cheers.

Yes they will get a new objective because each team always has a main objective. Heres a http://www.fragworld.org/frag/community-blogs/brink-info-pt-2-classes-abilites-and-objectives.html Also, welcome to the forums. Heres a welcome :turtle:

I've imagined it to be a big attack/defend, but I haven't heard any offical news on how the missions are layered.

Here is your Welcome turtle :turtle: and your copy of the Brink Bible can be picked up at my signature. It's the link in bright orange.

EDIT: NOOO. WELCOME NINJA'D.

Generally, each mission gives one team a series of objectives, and the other team a series of "defend this spot" objectives.

The following example is being made up by me right now (and I'm sleep deprived, so it's a bit of a slacker job of things, but it should get the point across).

Say your enemy has the sequence "destroy gate, hack terminal behind gate, rescue prisoner behind security door (opened when terminal hacked"

Your team will have "defend gate, defend terminal if you fail to defend gate, prevent prisoner from escaping"

If the enemy team succeeds in rescuing the hostage, you lose, if not, you win.

I got 3 welcome turtles in a single post, I may change 2 of them for +20 internets and keep the other one as a mascot.
Thanks for answering my question guys.

You got that wrong. Turtles are non-refundable because they just mean welcome. Pocket :ninja: is worth +30 because it means your awsome and :spotted owl: is priceless because we use him for the way he looks at people.

Well then I guess I'll keep my 3 turtles and look for a way to get me a pocket ninja.

:turtle:

Its name is Fred. He enjoys turtle pellets, long walks on the beach, and conspiring to destroy mankind. His pet peeves include human scum, being called cute, and bunnies.
