Just picked up FO3

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:04 pm

I bought Brink, didnt have Xbox live so I swapped it for FO3 Goty. And some store credit. I've been playing the Hell out of FO NV and have been missing my time spent on FO3. I was hoping some of you could post memories, or fun things to do to hype me up some more when I go home tonight to play.

I remember making the mistake of being rude to a brotherhood scribe when trying to get into arlington library. "I can't go anywhere without running into you a-*holes" ...I guess that was enough to not let me in :)

Convincing a depressed man (in Rivit City), to take the plummet off the flight deck. ....he wasn't exactly pulling his weight in the community.

Dragging clover's body half way across the wasteland back to my safe house after she fell in battle. ...I'm still not sure if that was for fear of losing the loot she was carrying, or dealing with the denial that she lay dead at my feet.

Lol.

Getting pissed How expensive Nova was.

Crapping my pants when I ran into a Yao Guari.

Beating the piss out of Butch.

Once when I beat the game I was running past some ruins and a deploy team of Enclave soldeirs came out of a vertibird and went to war with a platoon of B.O.S and then a small group of Super Mutants came into the frey. Epic.

Getting my lv 25 ass handed to me in Point Lookout.

Shooting frantically at the fiends in the pit.

On the console, my character is actually more colorful than on the pc

On the pc, with mods, my character tends to end up in easy fitting fatigues, combat helmet and scoped M14

..gee, I wonder why

On the console, without mods, my character is the epitome of the wasteland wanderer, dressed in regulator long coat, Lincoln's tophat (because that, the coin collection and the Lincoln bobblehead I just couldn't part with..) and his .44 Henry rifle and Agatha's scoped .44 magnum is all I need.

I sell off all the ammo I never use, and have a massive stock of reserve rifles and revolvers for repair issues.

I also have a really well stocked fridge, a soda machine for all of the soda's and beers I have :foodndrink:

And dogmeat of course :hugs:

I remember the first time I encountered a Deathclaw very early in the game. I decided to take a few long distance shots and then bring it down before it reached me. Epic fail. My first shots hardly scratched it and now it was closing on me a LOT quicker than I thought it would. My last resort technique of running away and firing did not do the job. I believe it was a running away in terror and screaming like a girl type of tactical retreat.

On my reload, I decided to go in another direction. Well away from where the Deathclaw was.

Taking Sticky to Big Town via the long route. I put him in Enclave Power Armor and wandered the DC wasteland in hopes that he'd somehow find a spectacular death. But nope, the idiot fell off of an overpass close to Megaton while fleeing from Raiders.

I took my armor and weapons back and put a mine on his back. Then walked away. When I got far enough away I shot the mine.
