Just plain stupid and Idiotic.

If I was to list all the people and things that infuriate me on a daily basis, well that would be a lot of work, far more than I'm willing to do. In short, I hate people. Not all people, I'm pleased to say that some of you don't fill me with a murderous rage. The only thing that keeps me going is the fact that jail would be marginally worse.

EDIT: Oh right, neighbours. Yeah, I've had quite a few people prove themselves unworthy of living near my house. For example, the road all the kids in our neighbourhood use to school has no sidewalk. Know why? Because some neighbours are either too selfish and stupid to let a sidewalk cut into their yards by about 1 meter. Or they'd rather keep the patio they built without a permit instead of reducing the chance of children being killed...Not to mention that the same neighbour has a hedge that makes it literally impossible to see anything to either side when driving out our driveway, making every trip with a car into a cointoss featuring a safe trip on one side and having my car wrecked with me possibly being killed on the other.

Also my current next door neighbour thinks cutting stones in half with a saw is a fantastic activity to be doing at 5 in the morning...not like the noise of metal cutting through stone 20 feet away matters to people trying to sleep or anything right?

Oh, and by the way. During the winter, when we gravel up the road to keep it from being an icy deathtrap, what makes a human being decide to shovel it all into neat little piles to make it easier to remove from said icy deathtrap? Is me almost breaking my neck on the way home not sending a message? Is it so hard to fathom why we gravelled the [censored] road to begin with? What about your car being unable to get up that hill every damn winter? No?

I'll stop there, I need to go punch a wall.

I do live in the country. It's the people that live in the city that come and try to take over the land like we are some kind of backwoods hicks that don't know anything about the law and think they can take advantage of us. The people that helped them work on it don't even like them because they are from the city, and they yell at all the workers if they didn't do something right.

Luckily, the vast, VAST majority of the land out here is owned by my mother, two of my uncles, and my grandparents (Who own over 8000 acres as their ranch). Basically, if anyone wants to move out here, they have to buy land from our immediate family. This gives us great control of who lives out here.

Yeah, I consider myself lucky.

I like you already. Same here. In a few years I hope to find myself in a community with a population density of below one.

My old neighbor died in a plane crash bringing a million in coke over the border to the States. Later on we found out the walls of his house were filled with secret stashes of ammo and guns, with trapdoors to floors that arent anywhere on the blueprints leading to a grow room. Just another day in BC though.

Ok so my parents, and two other of my neighbors are getting sued by these people that own an easemant right next to our dirt road just because we won't help pay $5,000 EACH to get some culverts put in to make the easemant "better," when actually all the "work and improvements" they have done have on the easemant have made the road worse and in danger of flooding. They live about an hour and a half away and use their house on the road only for a summer getaway. Now I understand if THEY want to pay the money to make it better, but we only use like a foot of it to be able to get to our house. So why would each of us have to pay $5,000 to make their road better? And it is only a dirt road for heavens sake! The amount of money they already pooled into their project could've built a homeless shelter on our road and be able to feed people for about two months (my parents did the math). I mean seriously guys? Come one!

Have any of you had either some really unreasonable neighbors or just some situation that you have found no sense in?

My parents have told me that our lawyer is actually surprised because he has never had the law 100% on his side, but the neighbors still won't back down. growl.....

I've had my own issues with easemants, but not quite as "backwoods" as that. ;)

Let's just say.. avoid them at all costs.

My actual street and the ones near it are probably the best in my area, and some of the safer spots in town. However several streets down into the main reserve area things slowly get worse, with the epicenter at the newly erected trailer park. Gee what a surprise. It was such a half ass construction job there's junk all over, no one replanted the grass, no one planted trees, and none of them clean or maintain their trailers. I guess I can't generalize that much, but it certainly doesn't look good either. As for my immediate vicinity, maybe the occasional party that goes on too long and gets too loud and a fight breaks out at it. Also a yappy dog that was finally shut up a few months ago, everyone got sick of him all at once and now the owners take him inside. I timed him, he barked almost constantly from 8pm to 6am in the [censored] morning at NOTHING!!!! Then slept all day, rinse and repeat for a few months before no one could take it anymore and we had to pester the neighbors who seemed oblivious.

The only bad neighbors moved recently. :celebration:

When they were here they used meth, abused there kids, constantly asked for money, destroyed their house, stole from the good neighbors, tried to break into our house, and siphoned our gas.

The cops around here svck [censored] <_<.

Now we can keep the majority of our guns unloaded instead of ready to go in the event of a home invasion. :gun:

My neighbours are pretty ridiculous. The chick next door loves bassy music and plays it alll the time. I've even woken up to it sometimes and just kind of laughed. Her boyfriend though, yeesh, the guy hates me I swear. EVERYTIME i put music on and there's just a little thump barely even noticeable he just pounds on my wall ( I live in townhouses, big ones to :D). Guys really a pain in the ass

Funny thing is when he's not there, the music is blaring and all I can hear is thumping on the wall. Do I knock? No, I just smile, laugh a bit and blare mine. :D

I had this problem about 15 years ago. They would blast thier rap, I would blast my heavy metal so there musice was even louder. I ended up winning. How I started to blare Classical and Yanni music. Who thought Classical and Yanni would do it? Someone mentioned to blare Opera, but I guess Yanni must have been the straw that broke the camels back LOL. :celebration:

this makes me sick.... haha! You are very lucky to have that. I don't know how many acres we own, but it is nothing compared to that! haha I would love to live with a bunch of family members that own land all around me. But I would probably end up having to help maintain all of it, and I don' want to do that!

I've had my own issues with easemants, but not quite as "backwoods" as that. ;)Let's just say.. avoid them at all costs.

I wish we could've avoided it, but they just seemed to keep coming back until finally they sued everyone....

 wow.... That isn't good. Should have snuck round their house and filmed all of it! haha tell them either move or this goes out to the public!

Hey, I have a question for you city folks.

Why is it, on the three days of the year that you bother to walk your dog, must you park your car in front of my drive?

Also, why, when your dog does its business, do you pick it up in a bag, only to hang it on a tree?

You can just kick it off the path into the undergrowth, it will decompose naturally in the woods. But if you insist on picking it up and wrapping it in plastic, can you please take it with you?

Also stop starting damn fires and leaving rubbish everywhere. Seriously, I swear city dwellers' brains must be affected by the fumes.

Well, I have a neighbour who is called Big Davey. He isn't fat, he is just more of a burly bloke. Nice fella, been living in the house next door for years.
Anyway, when I was a kid, his nephew came to his house often and me and his nephew played football ( soccer ) on a green outside our houses. Soon a miserable old woman moved into our street and her husband got a metal pole, nailed it into the ground outside and put a sign on it saying Ball Games Strictly Prohibited and whenever we tried to play football on the green she came outside and butchered the english language "Get off the grass ya dirty [censored]in' loonies".
Eventually Big Davey got the sign down and the moaning old bag got a warning from the police.

We live on a sizable isle and my home in the area is the only one with suitable docking for light skiffs and boats just a few hundred feet from the house, but its MINE lol we built it.. , now there are 7 other residences and a bridge that connects to the mainland, you go there and just a few blocks are the local docking area much more suitable for yatchs and local pleasure boats........tell me why everyone and their freaking Grandma is trying to dock right beside my house?

they have to nerve to call us selfish and unneighborly Im like :banghead: im pretty sure you wouldn't want your sleep interrupted at 3 am at night with the rumbling engines and screaming drunkards......god humans are such asses......

Fence your dock and add a locking gate.

My family only had neighbor problems once. In the family across the street, the wife got briast implants. My dad casually said to the father "are you enjoying your new toys?" (because my dad is awesome like that). For the the rest of the time we lived on that street, the father flipped-off my dad whenever he saw him.

What? Why? Why would anyone take offense to that? Is he one of those people who hate nice things?

Tell them to go [censored] themselves.

Thats all I have to say about neighbors who think they can get stuff out of other people.

Everyone else can park on their awn in my neighborhood but when I do it, every [censored] comes up to me about this. Even though its our yard...

The briast implant comment would have made me laugh, but it could have been seen as mocking to some.

I get annoyed phonecalls from the council housing bureau when I haven't cut my front lawn in awhile...

..as if they have nothing better to do.

disclaimer:
there is nothing in my lease that mentions my having to keep up the appearance of my garden, it's something they've been exceptionally pedant about lately

Let it grow a bit more, then use your lawnmower to write "Shut up!" on your lawn. Then we can only hope they inspect with a helicopter.

My Gliding club has a troublesome neighbour. She's applied several times for permission to build houses in line with one of our runways very close to the fence... Its almost as if she wants to get the person who buys the house killed.

thats stupid. Some people just don't not think about how their actions will effect others, or they just might not care what happens to others...

I live out in the country, and all of my neighbors are very nice. However, I do have a problem with roads and public service. My family and I moved here roughly 14 years ago, and the road back then was pretty bad. The pavement of all the roads here cracks and forms many potholes every winter. This road has not been paved since I moved here. It may as well be a dirt road now, it's so bad. Then, every year, the snow plows manage to rip an inch off of our lawn. Probably some conspiracy that the town is employing to slowly take our land from us. I would gladly pay to fix all that, but the town won't even let us touch their precious roads or we get in trouble with the law. I'm kinda hoping that the road harms someone or their property, just so they can sue the town and maybe whoever administers the roadways can realize they've been doing nothing for 10 years.

In other news, another thing that upset me was one of the main roads in town that happens to travel along a route. The road has never been in poor condition, but the town decided it was overdue for a repaving. They do that, traffic is horrible for about a week, but then we have a nice shiny long road. Two weeks later, the state decides that they're going to repave it again because it lies on a route, and it was proper application of the government's stimulus money.. That ticked me off for a variety of reasons, but more than anything it was because my tax money was used both times. Why couldn't they have paved my road instead of doing the same road twice?

Reading this thread makes me feel pretty darn lucky!

The worst I have to contend with is a yappy dog next door that someimes gets over-excited at 2am.

I have to contend with;

Yappy dogs at all hours

Mating squirrels (they make this noise, you see, when it's the season for loving. This noise makes me want to kill.)

Chainsaws and machinery from the constant rebuilding and re-landscaping of SOME daft useless thing.

And a [censored] chain smoker next door. Only his [censored] mother has a [censored] respiratory disease and is also ninety so the [censored] jerk doesn't quit, and instead takes it outside. And he chain smokes. I can't open windows without coughing up a lung when he's there. And he leers at my mother. And he lives with HIS mother, as is obvious, though I don't know if it's because she's sick or what.

I do not like that man.
