I live in a lake community. And 99% of the houses are only lived in during the spring, summer and fall. During the winter. It's peaceful. During the 3 other seasons everyone who doesn't live there year round comes by and acts like they own the place. They feel entitled to everything. They don't care about the people who live there year round. Hell, they throw beer cans in my yard then when I tell them about it they tell me to slag-off. So yeah, I know how you feel.
At least they aren't suing you. But that does sound rather annoying. At least you can get some recycling money!
The worst we get is their dogs coming onto our land and pooping, and then our stupid dogs try to go over the other side of the road and meet with the dogs.Besides the folks across the street, we really have no neighbors. The joys of living in the country.
I do live in the country. It's the people that live in the city that come and try to take over the land like we are some kind of backwoods hicks that don't know anything about the law and think they can take advantage of us. The people that helped them work on it don't even like them because they are from the city, and they yell at all the workers if they didn't do something right.
Reading this thread makes me feel pretty darn lucky! The worst I have to contend with is a yappy dog next door that someimes gets over-excited at 2am.
That's easy to take care of! Out in the country we have the three S words. Shoot Shovel and Shut up! Problem is solved.
Spoiled brats...I've met a few. When they were kids and didn't get their way they scream for mommy/daddy, and when they're advlts they call their attorneys.

ya seriously. They are just grown up elementary school kids that lied to the teacher about not getting a turn on the swing set.
