Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 3:22 am

graphics are awesome (although the mp beta graphics looked like crap compared to the in game campaign, not sure if it was a dumbed down version??)

when im playing bf3, i sometimes forget im not in crysis and try and cloak invisible then i realise its not crysis

anyone else had a shot at the game,

*edit

just in case anyone is wondering, bf3 plays perfect on max res 1920x1200 ultra settings on my 1 and a half year old ati radeon 5970 2GB, gpu is slightly tweaked with msi afterburner

Just to point out, this is "Crysis 2" PC discussion and BF3 is the reason there is no more support from EA for Crysis 2. I bought BF3 and agree its amazing...but not sure this is the right place to post this. There are a lot of angry gamers at EA shutting servers down for Crysis 2 because of BF3.

^Word.

But, on the other hand, this is the reality for the Crysis fan.... BF3.

i understand what you are saying, putting crysis aside for a minute, I'm just letting crysis gamers know that bf3 is the next level here, crysis 2 was a let down for me, i don't get alot of time to play games but when I do I play em like a marathon, I only ever did that recently with previous Crysis games and on launch of Crysis 2, now I am doing it with bf3

for all fans who don't realise this, bf3 will blow you away, it has the plot line, the graphics, and you don't need an absolute killer machine to run it as I'm only running it on 1 5970 on ultra settings at max resolution

you have got to play it to feel it and appreciate the work that went into the game from launch

this is "Crysis 2" PC discussion

I agree here, its a crysis forum, if u wanna compare BF3 with crysis ur in the right place. If u just talk about BF3 u should look for a BF3 forum.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a single person who doesn't know about BF3...

hardcoe gamers dont really care about the SP campaigns... I mean that in the long term.
I have only played C2 SP once...and not really had the mood for another go.
On the other hand i have more than 1500 matches of multiplayer gaming.

And what is really BF3 about?

online multiplayer competitive fps warfare...

A lot of ppl will be jumping from C2 to BF3 and that is normal...
multiply that by 10x since C2 is left to rot by Crytek..

Ya, it's so unfortunate that Crysis 2 had such great expectations and HAS such great potential, yet has been abandoned. Crysis 1 and Warhead has so much more replay value. Hopefully something happens, maybe a third party company to take over or possibly modders. Otherwise, a waste of great potential.

I played the campaign of battlefield 3 and wasn't surprised.
It's the second time I play a battlefield game, I like much more the graphics of crysis, these are more realistic, in BF3 it seems to walk on a picture.

Also the gameplay didn't surprised me at all, I heard a lot about this game and thought WOOOWW it must be genial, but it's not at all. in my opinion... maybe I'll start to like it later.
I liked much more the campaign of medal of honor, game that hasn't recieved very good votes in the reviews but I think it's very realistic, more than bf3, and the graphics in my opinion are also more true. Yes the texture have a higher detail in bf3, but as it is now it seemed to me to watch a painting, an the opposite than in MOH the dust comed out of the floor, the explosions where took part with the rest, as everything else.

But I think I would generally like better a game with more adrenaline, i get used to take what's thrown on the market and the rest stays forgotten. I talk about flight simulators, action space simulators, like wing commander prophecy.

in any case I really hope that the crysis2 dosn't stop here. The graphics are really amazing!
