Just played the KZ3 beta.

Good game, but Crysis 2 is better IMO. The nano suit and traversel elements really set it apart from other FPS games. It's tough to play any other shooters after being able to get around the environment so effortlessly like in C2.

That said, KZ3 is still pretty good despite some unbalances. A solid class-based FPS with great graphics. The one thing that I absolutely love is the fact that it has almost ZERO lag. If C2 gets it's connection stuff squared away I'll be playing it for months, if not years.

I'd play the KZ3 demo but I don't want to update my PS3 from 3.41 firmware :(. I can see Crysis 2 being better than it though, especially the PC version. That Be Strong trailer was pretty great.

honestly KZ3 felt exactly like KZ2 ..even the graphics didnt improve at all. Only different was I didn't have to work to get sniper like you did in KZ2 (which ruined KZ2 for late comers IMO)

As is the usual issue with console games though, my biggest issue was all the Mexican (no offense) people lagging like crazy. KZ3 let me choose North America, I guess that included Mexico but that should honestly be separated into Central America to avoid lag. I REALLY hate how console shooters dont show ping.

I am currently playing the open beta and will be until it ends.

Add my PSN and hopefully we can get a match in: Talon_146

This game is impressing the bejesus out of me so far and might be my first console game purchase in years. Honestly, I might prefer this over Crysis 2 on the PC, and that says a ton.

I tried KZ2 a bunch of times and I never found the MP that great. I enjoy the gritty, dark Environments and the SP was good but the multiplayer was clunky. Millions o people like the game so I am in no way bashing it, I guess
It's not my style. C2, on the other hand, looks phenomenal.

In my opinion that doesn't say anything, since you haven't even tried Crysis 2 on the pc yet.

Yeah you are right. My interest in KZ3 dried up since I can't use a gamepad for the life of me anymore. ^-^ The game itself is very impressive though and does a ton of things right for the PS3 community.

It was terrible to he honest.
The class and weapon setups svcked, KZ2 was far better.
KZ3 basically encourages lame playstyles like camping and whoring.
The controls felt bad too, instead of the solid and heavy feel that defined KZ2, they turned it into some half assed COD wannabe. It now has the bad things of both and none of the good things IMO.
The graphics are sixy, but the HDR is way overdone.

The SP looked like it was worse than KZ2 as well.
The jetpacks seem pretty much useless, you can jump across a ledge and thats about it.
The brutal melee kills were fun for the first 5 times, after that they just got boring and too slow.

I was disappointed BAD.

The low Health just encourages camping and most of the game revolves around camping by traffic areas waiting for the next hapless noob to come rushing into your gun sights, or you can play like a sissy which is what most people do AKA cloak camp a corner with an SMG and some prox mines for some measure and why not get a teammate to set up a bot in the same room?

its camping trash but the PS3 fanboys hail it as the second coming of christ....when to me it just looks like an ugly bloke who needs a shave.

I found the sensitivity to be an improvement to the game, because I could barely look around, even with the sensitivity turned up.

I also experienced the MP, it felt fun, and enjoyable, but yeah, not really a big fan of MP games. Honestly, I hope they improve in the next iteration, cause I feel like they're overdoing lots of other things.
