Just a quick question about moving directories.

Hi, I read the FAQ and seen this here:

When setting up Morrowind on a Vista Machine. Let Morrowind go ahead install to the default position. When it is finished installing. Right Click on the Morrowind Icon and follow the procedures of Compatibility. Open your C: drive and create a new folder and name it Bethesda. Then copy the Morrowind folder from the deafualt positon and install it in the new folder you just created.

IE: default folder: C:/Program Files/Bethesda

New folder location: C:/Bethseda

But I'm wondering if I should explicitly copy or move the files from the (x86)program files/bethesda folder to a newly created C:\Bethesda? Also why not install directly to the root folder?

I plan on spending all night following http://forums.encyclopediadramatica.com/showthread.php?p=321965 for a nice new expanded Morrowind experience but sortof getting stuck at the first step here wondering what the big deal is about the install locations for this game.

Vista/7 has UAC in which places file access restrictions on anything in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) directories. This may cause I/O errors and other related problems.

C:\Morrowind would work, if thats what you were thinking.

So I can actually install the game from the disc to the custom directory without any issues? I have UAC turned off and never had any issues with with it in the past with it being off from the getgo of OS installation.
