So, really bad storms going on here right now in Western Maryland, and a really nasty one just sprung up. It was odd because to the left was blinding sunlight, and the right half of the sky it was pitch black. That wasn't the weird thing though. Me and my wife went outside to check it out before it started(and to see if we saw any funnel clouds forming since we have tornado warnings until 10), and in a patch of the black clouds, there was this super bright light, that was just sitting there in the middle of the black clouds(about 10 seconds, maybe a few less), and then it just descended to the ground, almost like a falling star(but a good deal slower), but I don't see how I would be able to see a falling star in the daytime. It was just so strange, I've never seen anything like it before in my life, and I have no clue as to what it could have possibly been.
Any suggestions/ideas/explanations? Basically picture a globe of pure light(hard to say how big it was, it was fairly far away) that just descended to the earth after sitting in the sky for about 5-10 seconds. I'd say it took(my wife agrees) 5-6 seconds for it to be out of sight.
