Hey guys! I don't know how many of you watched "Dune" from 1984, but in it, both Patrick Stewart and Max Von Sydow appear, or should we say, Emperor Uriel Septim VII and Esbern!
Here's a scene from the movie where they both appear, Max Von Sydow as Dr. Kynes - the Judge of the Change and Patrick Stewart as Gurney Halleck! Enjoy!
Well, I placed it here mainly because of Max Von Sydow! Since he will voice one of the main characters in Skyrim, I thought it would fit here, considering that a lot of people actually don't know who the man is, or at least that's the impression I got!

Yea i guess it could fit here because of Von sydow Idk.
lol Dune was an awful movie, made no sense whatsoever, although some of the costumes and effects are pretty impressive for the 80's. That being said, great book.

Interesting fact:
Iron Maiden wanted to call the song which its based on Dune, but asked the author Frank Herbet for copy rights to use the name.
But Frank said in a letter: "No. Because Frank Herbert doesn't like rock bands, particularly heavy rock bands, and especially rock bands like Iron Maiden." Songwriter Steve Harris tried to convince Herbert that the song would be a good promo for the book, but he still refused.

Ah okay, well gonna get the book next time I go to a bookstore.
Don't listen to them !!! They probably think 2001 is a terrible movie. You def wanna see movie instead of reading some dumb old book.
I've watched 2001, great movie. I am a fan of Kubrick's works myself. As for reading a book instead of watching a movie, I don't know, each one has their pros and cons.
I think imah end up reading the book, I want to get into reading.
That way when your friends invite you to the movies you can say what happens next or how the book is way better and how your so much better and smarter person for reading the book than just watching the movie. and laugh at all the lesser fans.

I'm really excited that Sydow doesn't get killed off (hopefully) in the first 5 minutes of the game. I simply love his voice.
The "crazy old hermit" types have one purpose: teach what he knows to the hero *always withholding a crucial detail (or two),* then die. Esbern's not going to die within five minutes, unless he's really [censored] dumb.

Great, but might be irreleveant since it's been 25 years since the movie was made. Both of them changed a lot.
Dune is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've seen more recent versions of it including a mini series and they are very heavily americanised. But the origional Dune movie was a classic.
