"Just started" Morrowind...Any helpful advice?

Post » Mon Mar 11, 2013 9:29 pm

I'm about 30 hours into Morrowind (So it's kinda funny to say "Just started" but this is elder scrolls). Restarted after 5 hours when I figured out the x5 attribute leveling process (which basically involved remembering Oblivion), realized I didn't want to be an argonian and deciding I really wanted the Atronach sign.

I've put about 600 hours into Oblivion and Skyrim. Oblivion is probably my favorite game of all time and Skyrim is not that far behind. Huge fan of the Character progress/Lore in Elder Scrolls games. Based on how much I've enjoyed Morrowind so far, I imagine I'll be spending quite a bit of time with it. I tend to Max skills/ attributes in these games and do just about everything possible while creating very powerful characters. That said, I don't like to use cheats or glitches to level characters (though I'm certainly not above taping down buttons and I've already been boosting skills while I'm watching tv with 1pt created spells etc etc). I've figured out that I'm going to need to boost Endurance to 100 ASAP if I want to maximize the HP my character.

Just wondering if there is anyone still here with any tips on how to make the most of my Morrowind experience and especially to avoid bugs/ glitches. I hate unfinishable quests but realize they are a fact-of-life when it comes to games of this magnitude. I keep UESP and Elder Scrolls Wiki close by while playing but there's just so much info on these games, that its hard to read it all when you just want to play.

Oh and I am playing the Xbox version. I realize the best advice is probably "don't do that" but I don't have a PC capable of running it. Anyway thanks for any input.
