Just pick one you like and go with it. Save your game at the end of the Tutorial, before the exit, and you can always go back and change things, if you decide on something else.

I hate to be the one suggesting this, but...

Wow your second ever character! It sounds silly but why not let your character tell you what he wants to be called? Get a feel for him, "listen" to him. These are all very good suggestions but the best ones are the ones that just come of their own accord. You've got until the end of the sewers to rename them, unless you're on PC then I think you can change it with the magic console

I wish I'd listened to Arum in the first place and let him have Arum instead of naming him Arumel. He was rather stubborn and introduced himself as Arum to everybody he met, so I gave in. As I'm on a console he's still called Arumel on my saves, but I just ignore the last two letters

It′s nothing wrong with nicknames, plenty of people have one. Can′t his real name be Arumel but everyone including himself prefers to call him Arum? It′s like calling someone named William Will instead
