PC player that actually uses the ingame server. There are plenty of servers that are empty... just like every games that has a server browser not a big suprize. With over 1000 servers on the list do you REALLY expect them all to be busy?
If the filters worked better you could not look at the empty servers and you would find plenty... probably 400 with active playing. I never... NEVER have not found a good server (ping and active) to play on yet... so we ALL need to stop with this game is dying BS.
Yes, as a matter of fact I do expect MOST of the servers to be busy. Take a look at almost any other popular game. The vast majority of the servers in those games ALWAYS have people in them, and most of those games are already old. To add to this, those games always have way more servers in general than Brink. Brink is eight days old and it has no one playing and even less total servers (I don't know the actual numbers but I'm counting on this being true).
Take into account that new games almost always have more people playing them than old games due to that "New game rush" that most games experience. Brink was hyped up just like any other game, but it did not receive the same amount of players. Also, 400 servers with people playing in them? Out of "Thousands" that you claim there are? Even if that's accurate, that's still ridiculously low. That's less than 40% of the servers being full. I also honestly doubt that there are 400 active servers, considering my server browser doesn't even show that much, and with the majority of servers being empty, I wouldn't be surprised to find that all of those "Thousands" of servers aren't consistently active either.
You also need to take into account location, internet quality, and Brink's piss poor net code. PC players usually don't have to worry about net code, but it's a factor nonetheless. Even since day one it has been hard for me to find a server that didn't lag. This is just the curse of living in the West Coast, but I honestly am never able to find more than 20 active servers with less than 100 ping maximum, while everyone else enjoys the luxury of hundreds of servers to play on. It honestly makes me wish that I lived in the East Coast but then I'd have too many real life problems to deal with...
Also, that guy is right. I shouldn't have to scroll to find a good server, not this early on. Brink has problems my friends.
