I got mugged by 3 hired thugs. What the hell, man. Each time I try and fight them off, they kill me.

Someone paid to kill you, I suggest just sprinting when you walk out of Whiterun.

Never been mugged. You could always shout them to Oblivion! ... or just lower the difficulty.

What happens when you fast travel from within the city walls? Can you fast travel somewhere then sneak kill them with archery or something?

You annoyed someone, and they got mad, so they hired thugs. You can find out who and why if you manage to take them out. What, guards aren't helping?

I usualy decimate them, I once hunted down the person that hired them and killed her.

the hilarious thing is that my warrior who stole like 2 things and was never caught got thugs sent after him while my thief who pickpockets everyone from the rich to the beggars while detected has never seen them :facepalm: .

UPDATE: I ended up sprinting away from Whiterun, into the farming area right out front. I stopped to try and take em on one at a time and Farkas just runs out of nowhere and annihilates one of em. I manage to kill one as well.

yeah happened to me! you should be able to get a note off of one of them when you kill them that sometimes says who sent them. i remember the 3 guys that wanted to kill me were not easy. i had to use my ice form shout to save my butt. and i love how the guards do NOTHING! why can they assault me but i can't hurt random people. i remember i ran to a guard and stoof there like "what! i have the guards to protect me!" ... they stood there as i got pummeled.

Normally they're an esy kill. I look forward to those attacks, especially from assassins because it's an easy way to raise your combat skills up.

I got "mugged" onces. I killed them and the city guards didn't pay any attention to the fight. Lame AI.
