I had a settlement attacked by 7 high level super mutant masters, 1 legendary super mutant master, and 2 glowing mutant hounds. 2 of the masters were sporting missle launchers and I was killed in one hit.

I was killing everything including deathclaw with a few shots but this encounter was insane. I had about 20 grenades thrown at me and rockets flying everywhere. Many of them had super sledges and high powered guns.

Thanks Bethesda for challenging me when I thought my character was a god in the game

Lol...I thought the same..until I came across a S mutant camp, and had 3 suiciders running at me at the same time from 3 different spots...got 2..but couldn't find the third, til....BOOM!!...dead..

Ya, I'm level 36 and it's rare that I'm ever challenged and I ignore power armor. I did have an encounter like that and it was intense. Too bad it's only happened once in 36 levels.

is that so? iam playin the game on "survival" and its easy... no really challenge so far. but iam happy to hear about the settlement attack with those huge enemys. good to know. thx.

Exact same thing happened with me when I stopped by Finch Farms to deal with what I thought was an easy raider problem. Got ambushed from all sides and had to jump into the river to save myself.
