K9000 sound issue

Post » Sat Sep 01, 2012 4:11 pm

I have a strange issue with the OWB's cyberdog gun's sound. When it detects an enemy it supposed to start growling, but the sound is very loud and somehow strecthed. It last much longer than it's supposed to, almost like playing a sound at half speed, and causes the whole game stutter. This is the only sound that does this in the whole game, even the other cyberdog sounds play fine.

This has always been issue with it, but now i'd like to actually use it :hehe: Only way i can figure out to fix it is to remove the script from the gun, but a less sledgehammery solution would be appreciated.

OS is Windows 7 x64, sound card Sound Blaster X-Fi.

Genral and sound related DXDiag info in case it helps:

I have a sound issue with Fallout 3's (non-mod added) radiostations played from the pip-boy, and the way to fix that was to tweak some settings with the ALchemy program:
Buffers: 4
Duration: 15
Maximum Voice Count: 128
Disable Direct Music (option enabled)

but that's does not help with this problem.
