[RELZ] Kagz Vivec Head Trophy/Plaque Resource

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 12:09 pm

Kagz has recently released a Vivic head trophy and plaque resource over on http://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=1030. Registration is not required to view the screenshots or to download the mod. From his readme/description:

.................KAGZ Vivec Head Trophy/Plaque Resource.....................

This is a modders resource, it places nothing ingame.
It comprises of the mesh and textures only.

Ok i made this during a period of boredom,
for something to do and also to see if it would work.
This gives modders a wall plaque, with Vivecs head mounted on it,
to use in mods or own game or whatever.

Not a real lot needed to be said,
its just a wall plaque with a head mounted,
so you can set it up as a static or a light,
or an activator, or whatever you want.

The mesh uses 3 game textures and one of my own tex.
I am giving you the game tex, as i have renamed the game tex
and filed all the textures in a KAGZ folder.
So that means the normal game tex wouldnt work,
so therefore i give you the tex.

You are welcome to use this prop in your mods,
all i ask is a mention as the creator.
The mesh is only 109kb and the textures in total 182kb.
So the whole thing is only 291kb.
So no big mod lol.

No cleaning neccessary as there is no esp.

I hope you have as much fun using it, as i did making it.

We host a number of his other mods http://www.wolflore.net/viewforum.php?f=84. Note that his advlt mods are only available to those that register. Also, I don't believe he still has an active account here, so please join us if you wish to leave feedback. Thanks.

That's rather ghastly but also pretty neat.

Would be interesting to see a house mod that made use of this and other head plaques (Alma, Dagoth Ur, Gares, Helseth, etc) that were scripted to appear once you'd killed the relevant 'boss'.

What's wrong with being a trophy hunter? Anyway, Kagz just released a http://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=1031 and is planning on making other trophies provided the creature's head will fit on his plaque mesh, so don't expect anything big like an Ogrim.

couldn't he just make a bigger plaque?

on a side note, maybe this could introduce taxidermy into MW lol

The part of me that is a devoted House Dagoth and Dagoth Ur fan finds this mod incredibly amusing...not that Aeronwen would actually want to put Vivec's head on display anywhere.

Voryn: "But, dear, this would look perfect over the fireplace."
Aeronwen: "No, Voryn...just...no."

Come join us at Wolflore and ask him. ;)

He did express an interest in making a house that would display these trophies after the creature was killed.

@FS: Ur should know that if momma isn't happy, nobody's happy. :obliviongate:

Kagz has started a http://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1033 explaining the difficulties in making some of the trophies. He is planning on making more, but only if he can make them fit properly onto his plaque without loosing any of the detail of the head.

Wow, I had no idea Kagz was still modding. I miss seeing him around here. Kagz has done some great stuff over the years. His is a truly talented manipulator of meshes.

He's still modding, but I don't think he comes around here much anymore. He's run into some problems with the new trophy heads, so he's delaying releasing them for the time being.

Kagz has changed the bases for some of his heads and released about a dozen of them http://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=1046. His readme:

...............................KAGZ Trophy/Plaque Resource.................................

*****************************

This is a Modders Resource only,
it places nothing ingame.

*****************************

Ok, this mod gives modders 17 trophy/plaques,
to use in mods, or own game or whatever.

I chopped up a lot of the game monsters,
that had suitable heads for the objective,
in 3DS Max and mounted them on wall plaques
and sitting trophies.
I couldnt do all the monsters due to the shape of the head,
or no discernable head, or ghost etc etc.
I also tried to stay away from the too "human looking" type,
eg: the zombies etc, so as to try to not offend too many.
In saying that i had to do Vivec, as he was the reason,
for the whole mod, initially.
So i have made two of him, one in the Daedric style,
(thanks to jac for the idea) and one on gold.

Now,a few of the wall plaques, have very small parts
of the head mesh, poking thru the back.
I tried to delete it, but it deletes part of the head also.
Its not that bad tho and can be easily hidden,
when the plaque is put on a wall or whatever.

I changed all the textures to .dds,
to cut down the size and filed them all,
in a KAGZ folder.
Also set all the stuff up as statics,
in cell .........mn in the CS,
you can set them as you like.

Not a lot more to say except, thanks to the folks at Wolflore,
who supported me with the mod.
Big thanks to neildarkstar for being the official tester.
Thanks to Beth for the meshes and tex and thanks to me,
for all the Max work.

You are welcome to use these props in your mods,
a mention would be great.

The mod is 3.71 Meg installed and 1.8 Meg Rar'ed.
The mod was cleaned with TESAME.

Some shots from the CS.

He said he was going to work on some Solsthiem creatures, so if you ask him nicely, he may do the Mournhold ones as well. :hehe:

Kagz has released trophies for some of the http://www.wolflore.net/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=1048 creatures: the bears, wolves, and a few others. All are mounted on marble plaques except for the wolves, which are mounted on marble pyramids. He said that the Tribunal ones are too difficult, so he may not be doing those unfortunately.
