Kajhiit or Orc?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:20 am

They're both very nicely done, but the Khajiit is so cool I may actually play a beast race for the first time.

~ Dani ~ :)

I may too :)
I voted both. Some say khajiit's look similar to oblivion.Well they do a little, but i think they look more imposing, and it looks like they have way more fur on them.
Bethesda deserves alot of credit on what they've done with these two races, can't wait to see more.

If every representation of an orc was like this, I wouldn't snicker a bit whenever I hear the word spoken verbally.

I've been waiting for a picture of a khajiit for a long time, and I have to say, they look AMAZING. Bethesda have done a great job.

Both look better, but the Orc looks MUCH better.

And I agree with the poster who suggested getting rid of the "hurr durr I'm an orc" dialogue. And while we're at it, let's NOT have Lynda Carter do any more voice acting. Can't stand her nasal-sounding blather.

Did you have your eyes shut while looking at the screens? :)
Someone has to throw a spanner in the works, but hey, that's your opinion.

They are both greatly improved. I guess all the races have been improved a lot, but for the beasts I think the looks matter more in the big picture. I can't wait to see Argonians too, that piece of artwork was quite promising.

I'm curious about the Bretons too. If they are really trying to make all races distinct, they shouldn't look so Imperial anymore.

I say they both look amazing. One thing I noticed from the new orc screen was that one of his teeth are chipped, and he has what looks to be a glass eye. This could be hinting towards how deep the character creation will actually be.

In terms of which race of the two shows more improvement since Oblivion? Orcs, hands down. The Khajiit is super badass, but so were the Oblivion ones, imo. The Orcs were as well, but their faces were just ugly. This time around it would seem that they are somewhat not as ugly, with a side of badass.

In terms of which one looks, imo, better? The Khajiit. I don't believe whiskers were on the Khajiit in Oblivion, but it was the first thing I saw. The facial features look more bestial than it's predecessors. And this is aaaaallll on the torso alone, I really want to see how the legs look on the bestial races. I am one of those that believe the MW beast race legs were better than the OB beast legs. However, the waddling motion was annoying, but hopefully the legs look like the Argonian in http://img46.imageshack.us/i/argonian.png/sr=1

I just need to see the other races now lol. I wonder if the human races (Breton, Imperials, Nords) will look different from each other?

Also, on the picture of the Khajiit, another pet peeve I have with it is the "plastic" look of the skin, or his glove on the hand holding the bow. Other than that, these screens are AWESOME.

Can you add "Both"?

They both look so much improved :)

But only one is MORE improved.

And that is Orcs. No one can choose a side anymore. Its always "moderation" this or "don't care" that.

I'm really digging the Orcs New look. Looks more like something from Lord Of The Rings and less like Shrek.

I really do love the look of the Khajiit now. In previous installments, I always thought they were too silly looking to take seriously. But now, they actually look like they are a species worth playing, which is a huge transition. Orcs have definitely gotten a much needed and improved make-over, but the cake has to go to Khajiits. Ultimately though, BGS has done a phenomenal job on both species, and I look forward to seeing improvements on the rest of the classes (argonians, redguards, dunmers, etc.)

Here here!!!!

Now the Khajiit look like walking Lions!!!! Instead of a respite for comedy value, I mean would you laugh at a charging Lion that wants you for dinner? The answer no, you would run and throw [censored] in its face (don't worry there will be more than enough [censored] to go around let me tell you.)

And now the Orc look ghastly.

Like many others I can not wait to see all of the characters and creatures because so far they look awesome!

I'd say they've both been improved. That Kajiit actually looks fearsome now, not a pvssycat. It's more muscular and the fur is mor convincing.

I'm somewhat of an Orc obsessive. Every character I play is one now. I like the improvements, they're looking more brutal. That one has clearly taken advantage of the scars and warpaint features. I can see myself being very happy with a cleaner look for my Orsimer Spellsword.

i think the kajhiit looks better than the orc improvement-wise.
the kajhiit was my favorite in morrowind.
in oblivion i didn't even attempt to make one. they just looked stupid.
in this screen/concept art it looks SUPER awesome! i will probably make one for my 1st or 2nd character!

I have never played a Khajit or Orc in previous TES games, but these screens have converted me.

Can't wait to try them out, especially the badass blind Orc.

Both look fantastic, but the orc is more improved.

Really though, it's more because the orc was effing ugly (and not good orc ugly) in Oblivion, whereas Oblivion Khajiits weren't half bad.

Orc has improved. No longer do they look like green people with pig noses from Oblivion.

More so defined elf look.
