Kajhiit or Orc?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:39 am

Which one from the screenshots is more appealing and over all has made a bigger improvement from Oblivion to Skyrim?

Some lore for each for those that are curious. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Orc

I really do love the look of the Khajiit now. In previous installments, I always thought they were too silly looking to take seriously. But now, they actually look like they are a species worth playing, which is a huge transition. Orcs have definitely gotten a much needed and improved make-over, but the cake has to go to Khajiits. Ultimately though, BGS has done a phenomenal job on both species, and I look forward to seeing improvements on the rest of the classes (argonians, redguards, dunmers, etc.)

I think without a doubt the biggest difference is that of the Orc, in comparison to it's Oblivion counterpart. The Khajiit looks good, don't get me wrong. Hell, I'd even say it looks great. But it doesn't look that different to me.
Orc gets my vote.
Also..why did you include Lore links instead of pictures of the races lol? This thread is about the looks, after all. Not Lore.

Both models are excellent, but I like the Khajiit model a bit better. Bethesda seems to be making good on their promise to make the beast races actually look good this time around. I can't wait to see what the Argonians and Dark Elves look like.

That was a hard one. I chose Orc. I never played Orcs or Khajiits because I thought they looked terrible in every game since Arena but now they both are very nice looking and I'm willing to play them for the first time. Orcs just seem to have improved the most, they are still brutish and ugly but have a badass aura that really makes them approachable now. Khajiits are very nice also, that's why I said it was a hard one hehe.

I never saw what the problem was with Argonians, they looked great in Oblivion imo and if the models for imperials, nords, Khajiits and orcs are any indication, I think Argonians are going to blow my mind (Argonians are my second favorite race next to Ayleids)

The khajiit looks very nice, but comparitively, there wasn't much that needed changing from Oblivion, and thus the result is pretty similar (haven't seen the legs though). The Orc however is revolutionary.

I don't really see that big of a difference in the Khajiit honestly. Maybe I'd need to see a few more to really acknowledge it, but I've seen Oblivion Khajiit that look pretty similar.

The Orc, on the other hand, is a huge improvement, and pretty much exactly what I wanted Orcs to look like. I am very pleased, and will definitely make an Orc character at some point in Skyrim. I'm curious to see what female Orcs look like though.

Orc ... I almost want to play one now. Anyone else pumped about the armor style?

they weren't kidding when they said skyrim was a bit more primitive. Welcome change from Oblivion.

Where are the screenshots? All I'm getting is a link to the UESP pages showing old Oblivion concept art. Are they linked to at the bottom or something? Help.

They both look amazing! The Orc still looks a little goofy, but he can't help it.

The Orc looks mean and tough. But the Khajiit looks smart and even more dangerous and like he just found the loot.

New orc is all kinds of sixy.

Now they just need to fix the "HERP DERP IMA ORC!" dialogue they've given them in all the past games.

It seems like Bethesda is focusing on getting appropriate voices this time around. So the voices for each race should sound better than ever before.

I think orcs have improved more but the Khajit looks better. I thought Khajits and Argonians were the only races in OB that looked good.

i put both because every since tes went 3d they both have been struggling with finding their identity as an immersivly (ewww that word) playable character i just could not load one up without it feeling like there is something annoyingly wrong weather it be the fact that orcs are not nobles from the swine family or that the kajhit had no animalistic qualitys besides fir and voice .

you could roleplay an architype char like a thief, warrior or assasin but i just couldnt roleplay a kajhit

Khajiit in my opinion. Don't get me wrong Orks look sixy as hell(though I would never play one). But the Khajiit just looks so... Cool.
