Kalikut's site is gone!

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 9:03 am

Hello there!

Well it seems Kalikut's site is no longer in the land of the living websites :(

So I am making an appeal for her mods. Like I did with Lady E's and various other sites I will back the mods up onto discs and then re-upload them somewhere else.

She had such great mods on that website - would be a shame to see them gone :(

I've done a more detailed search and its seems that most of Kalikut's mods are on ElricM. Can anyone else take a look through and see if anything is missing?

Oh noes! :(

I have her mithril armor mod, if you want it. I was able to contact her via CanadianIce's forums last December (2010).

Apologies for the late response. The email address (if there is one included in the readme) should still be valid, but I don't check it often, and I get a lot of spam. It is possible I missed it, especially if there wasn't something in the subject line that suggested mod permissions.

Anyway, feel free to use the stuff. Hope I'm not too late.

Re: Permissions of Mod use. If you're asking for permission to use something in a mod I released, please feel free to do so, but also consider the permissions of others in my mod readmes first. If my mods become hard to find, they can be uploaded in their original formats with proper credits. Don't modify or repackage a mod I release, unless it is strictly a translation mod. Thanks.

-----------------------

Well, for starters I've modified my signature here and added the same to the Bethesda forum (under About Me) regarding permissions for using my mods, especially since I haven't been easily found lately. Basically, I'm giving over my mods to open permission, but with respect to the other modders's wishes that are included in my readmes (some resources I used, there may be people who wish that certain items not to be used in other ways). No modifications to my existing mods should be uploaded. Other than that, feel free.

I would put as much on my old website too, but I've since lost or misplaced the login info. Oh well.

Love her green glass mod for Oblivion, that was a must-have mod when I played TESIV. Changes the radio-active green to a nice emerald green.

Actually silgrad.com seems to have gone. Including all the subdomains, like abot's. Maybe he knows if this is a temporary thing?

When sites are down, please don't forget to check http://mw.modhistory.com/, there is a huge search-able database of download-able mods there. Uploads are greatly appreciated as well. The only requirement is a free login to prevent spammers.

That's exactly what MMH is for to host mods that's hard to find and I know of how to do that, because I'm the team leader of MMH and Midgetalien is also a MMH staff member. Perhaps I should take care of this, because the new MMH site is very different from the old one. If you have more of her mods and will contribute them to http://mw.modhistory.com/contact.php. Just contact me here or head over to http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/index.php where I'm usually is now days to through a PM there.

There was some good stuff on Silgrad - I used their name generator a bit and they had some good tutorials - I hope at GHF you look at preserving some more of the assets that have made Morrowind history.

Am hoping the Silgrad site is just done for maintenance rather than closed for good
