Kamikaze Raiders

Maybe some mutated raider dogs rigged with explosives would be nice.

Only if there are different factions of raiders, like there's a crazy fallout 3 style raider tribe and more professional groups.

[Mind of Freeman Mode Activated]

(Being attacked by Kamikaze Raiders)

"Whoa! What the hell! GET BACK YOU TWISTED SAVAGES! Say hello to my bullets! They want to meet you! They want to be friends! I DON'T WANT YOUR LITERATURE! THIS IS A NO SOLICITING HOUSE!"

(After being attacked by Kamikaze Raiders)

"When you think about it, that has got to be one of the least productive means of self defense. Blowing yourself up at someone. I mean, sure, as a last resort, you may as well take as many svckers down with you as you can, but that guy was coming right for me! He must have been on some really good chems to make him think he was explosion proof. I need to get my hands on some of that. Man, that's gotta be a good high...Better than Jet, anyway. Jet only lasts long enough for me to have a little personal time, and then I just feel dead to the world. More than I already do. I don't understand Raiders."

Honestly, if they just ran at me with a stick, or kinda blew up near me when they are hurt I would think it would be kinda anticlimactic....

With that said If they were really hurt and decided to slam some psycho (interesting quick drug use animation is required), then I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a suicidal super raider. One that has the strength of ten men that can leap higher and run faster. (new movement animations desired).

If this was the case then I'd want to have to make him/her a priority to kill (no increased HP/Dam TH/Dam Resist, he didn't take Med-X), and if I don't its gonna hurt bad, if not kill me...

Basically, I want a "what the hell?" moment, followed by a "Oh [censored]" moment, ending with a "that was close".

Raiders, well they aren't really that threatening, and I have always thought of them as nothing more then an easy kill for items, and perhaps this will make me think a little more before engaging them.

Raiders are crazy and mostly stupid but not suicidal. They wouldn't do anything like this to get themselves killed because they wanna enjoy the spoils of killing prey.

How much Jet do they have to inhale to do a kamikaze lol.

I'm sure the whole reason why they became Raiders in the first place is due to them succumbing to the harshness of the wasteland in a desperate attempt at survival or seeing no other alternative to survive. It wouldn't make sense for them to randomly suicide bomb ya since they do what they gotta do because they want to live.

Take someone with a history of irrational behavior and violence put them in an extreme situation that they know they probably wont live to walk away from, and to top it off give the a drug that dampers higher brain function and increases aggression... I just don't see how its not plausible...

And as you said they succumbed to the harshness of the wasteland, I really doubt they care if they live or die anymore, or if anyone else does ether.

Well we do have Raider psychos in the demo at E3 so it could be possible. But I'm thinking it would be better to have Raider victims that have been strapped with explosives such as collar that are rigged to explode at the press of a button. You could have them running to you in hopes that you will free them or something and then KABOOM! Other than that it would make sense for a raider who is fatally wounded who could pull a grenade on himself if you are close to him.

When I said succumbing to the harshness of the wasteland, I meant how it transforms what would otherwise be a normal person into a cruel and violent savage in in effort for them to survive.
