Karliah Glitch, Thieves Guild

Post » Mon Apr 04, 2016 6:56 am

I'm trying to complete the thieves guild quest line for one of my characters, I'm at the part where i'm going to be initiated as a nightingale but for some reason Karliah keeps walking away from the gate making the quest unplayable. I tried to fix this glitch by making a new character but it happened again! I don't have any unofficial Skyrim patches and i don't have any mods for thieves guild or for changing the AI in NPCs, is there a way I can fix this issue I really want to complete this quest for this character!

Download the unofficial patches for the main game plus whatever DLCs you have. If you have all the DLCs, get http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71316/?. The major thing you can do to make your game work properly is use the unofficial patches.

Well, the next thing is to post your mods - just because you don't have TG mods doesn't mean some mod won't affect your quest....

like what mods would affect quests, like this one? Can you give me a brief list so I can get an idea on which mods i might want to reconfigure? You have been very helpful so far BTW, thanks! =D

Well, I can't give you a list, if I don't know what mods you're using. So the first thing that you need to do is list the mods you have installed.

You should really post your mod load order.

Mod load order? you mean like NMM because that's what I use to download and organize my mods.

Yes, the load order for the game. Having 2 unofficial patches will screw your game. I am interested though in the load order, did you use LOOT for sorting?

YOu can export your load order with NMM. On the plugins tab click the button underneath the green checkmark (vertical side menu).

Export it to a textfile. The unofficial patch should be installed and used from the beginning as some of the fixes when added mid game are not retroactive.

You can try a save before starting the thieves quest line.
