Kaspersky deletes v1.4 fallout4.exe

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2016 9:59 pm

misidentified (I would assume) as malware: trojan.win32.bazon.a

Kaspersky helpfully deleted fallout4.exe

alternatively, I've got something worse wrong than titchy antivirus, so I'm interested to know if others are seeing anything similar

Haven't had anything like this since a browser hijack almost 15 years ago, so maybe I'm overdue.

Win7

Steam

Edit: ...and I probably should have put this in the Beta forum.

Enter Kaspersky exclusion list (after disabling Kaspersky), and add Fallout 4.exe in the exception list. (or even better the whole Fallout 4 folder)

under: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4

The verify you game cache files through steam.

Compared to all the other Anti virus products out there, I will gladly take the occasional inconvenience with Kaspersky.

Head and shoulders above the rest.

But thanks for the heads up about what is coming.

1.4 beta started. I hope those who r running fine backup their FO4 folder. Otherwise when it goes live and breaks the game 4 some, they couldnt revert to the last working condition.
