Also, it's "and most of the Empire's arts, crafts, and sciences are derived from High Elven traditions." So, Cyrodiil added their own flava.

But what we see has precious little to do with asian styles, except for the handful of occasions centered around the Blades. It's not "adding ones own flavour" , it's doing something entirely different.

Given that an Akaviri weapon was found in an Ayleid ruin, I wouldn't be surprised if the Akaviri came to Tamriel in the Merethic Era.

The current official image of an Altmer, seen http://www.elderscrolls.com/codex/races_highelf.htm, appears vaguely Asian in style, for what little that's worth (the same argument could be made of a few other such images).

"vaguely Asian" Only vaguely?! Everything in that picture is nothing but Asian. Except for the ears and hair of course.

You know, the Samurai esque armor worn by the Orcs in Morrowind makes me almost want to say that their culture may possess Japanese elements to an extent as well, although it'd be far safer to just say Akavir.

The armor does seem like "samurai" like

See I thought such a thing would have come from Yokuda.

The Sload are mostly Necromancers.

Anyhow the Blades armor mostly resembles roman tribune armor . But If I remember there was some sort of contest with the snake people of Akavari something to do with a specific type of armor.....ugh I must read up on my lore. But if I remember correctly the snake people of Akavari in most recent had more contact to to Cyrodil .

They might be proto-humans. Culturally, anyway.

The nedes may have usurped the Tsaesci.
Or, by a strange ritual of succession, became what the Tsaesci were.

But this friday, in a touching love story, they come together.
