Keep the skeleton key or return it?

Who here keeps the skeleton key? Aside from not finishing the TG quest, there is really little reason to return it other than the little rewards you get from Noc. I'm hanging on to it and using it to ramp up a legendary lock pick skill, along with collecting a decent amount of picks. You?

I do not keep it beyond that point of the quest where it is supposed to be turned in...that said I also don't rush to give it back.

It depends on the character. Most of them have returned it. But a few have kept it for themselves.

I've returned it most of the time. I looked into reasons for keeping it once, but it doesn't provide you any extra benefits such as unlocking some doors or areas you normally couldn't get to otherwise. Or using it to get access to some areas that normally only come through doing certain questlines. At least as far as I'm aware of. I usually wind up with 3-400 lockpicks even without using the Skeleton Key

By the time I get it, I'm usually high enough level that it's pointless to keep.

I might keep it for awhile, if I have a bunch of active quests that I know will have Master locks, otherwise I have no need for it.

I don't see a reason to keep it. I can open Master Locks with just a few broken picks and i get more picks than i can break in a life time just by killing bandits.

I don't like the way lock picking is done and use ken mod lock-pick pro .

The first playthough that I had it I kept it, but not ending the quest bothered me. The second playthough that I had it I gave it back and used the console to give myself a copy, but that kind of shortcut defeated the weight of the scenario, and that bothered me. This playthrough I'm not doing that quest at all, have hundreds of spare lockpicks, and just got the unbreakable pick perk.. and it's not bothering me :goodjob:
