PC key mappingconfig help plz : V

Howdy all, I hadnt played Skyrim in a couple years and had lost all my disk's. Anyway, the legendary version was on sale at Steam for 13US, so I grabbed it.

I had alway's used the numpad for my gaming, not WASD. Now when I go in to config my key bindings, in Skyrim, it tell's me numpad 4,5,6,8 are already assigned and wont allow me to bind them as my movement key's.

Is there a work around or a mod out there for this??

the numbers 1-8 are dedicated to the quick slots, and i am almost positive there is no way in the vanilla game to change them. I also do not think there is a mod to change that.

Something I should probably point out is that WASD is the general directional keys used in PC games, and you will find nearly every game uses them, not all of which allow you to change keymappings, and many games do not even register the keypad as even existing since there are some keyboards that do not have them and almost no one uses them anyway.

However I have not tried it to map the numberpad keys, though it does list them as usable (in the program).

I'm back already, ;0),

After posting here, I began reading about STEP, and on thier page was a link to this, "Interface Hard Coded Key Tweaks".

lol, I had been looking for a couple hour's before I posted here.

Anyway, I found what I was looking for, and just DL'd and tested it and it work's. I have alway's been able to find a config tweak or mod to make the numpad work for games. It's do able.

I guess I cant post a link or I would, it is listed as "Interface Hard Coded Key Tweaks" at the Nexus.

Perhaps it will help someone else as well.
