CD Key transfer?

Post » Sat May 21, 2011 1:48 am

Hey, I just bought a better computer, but I have Crysis 2 and the CD Key installed on my old one.

Would it be possible to somehow transfer the CD Key to my new one?

I havent tried installing the game yet and putting the key in, but maybe I should just do that first?

My deepest gratitude in advance for a solution :D

Yes, i believe you can, however i think crysis 2 has a DRM secutiry system so if for some reason you can't install it, maybe its because of the DRM, in that case you should call EA for help

I would suggest that what you do FIRST is to de-authorize the game on your old machine. Check http://activate.ea.com/deauthorize/ for info how. Do this before you install on the new machine, and you should be able to authorize the new one no problem.

Don't even need to go on any websites, there's a de-authorising tool in the Games Explorer, just right click Crysis 2 and there's the link!
