Keybinding - Left Handed - Refund

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 12:57 pm

I'm 44, I'm left handed. I have to keybind my movement and other controls to the keypad. I can't in this game. I tried to use autohotkey, but it bugs when I hit an arrow key.

I bought this game on steam, and I requested a refund.

Maybe you will fix this in a future patch, maybe you won't.

I, personally, find...... this problem with some games EXTREMELY UPSETTING. I'm a programmer. I find the fact that some games arbitrarily decide to not allow you bind certain keys as idiotic. Every key on the keyboard is an ASCII escape character. Why do you just allow a subset of these characters to be rebindable????? It not at all more work to allow them all to be rebindable....... why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so mad right now.... I can hardly type. Quit ducking doing this lazy crap.... I'm guessing the reason you do this is the engine you use defaults to this, and you don't open up all the keys. Well... son, some of us are left handed, and some people have physical reasons (one hand, missing fingers, etc) where they need to pick ANY key to rebind.

If you opt into the beta patch through Steam, they've opened up the numpad keys for rebinding. It's not perfect at the moment, though, since some things are still hard-coded to the default keys.

Thanks lefty666 I did see that. I got my purchase refunded. Maybe I'll check back in 2-3 weeks and see if its completely resolved and pick up the product. Its infuriating to me why all games don't let you customize any key to any other key... its totally not a question of difficulty.
