Keybinding.... lol!

Well all i can say is it's been a long time since I've had to play a game where im not able to bind keys. Id probably say Commodore Amiga - Elite Frontier 1993 was the last time. Good work Bethesda.

Fallout 4. All those years in the making. All the development money in the world, together with a collection of some of the best game designers in the business, all working on this one game, and they give the 'key binding' job to the summer intern. A multi million dollar software package that occasionally looks like they just couldn't be bothered with the basics. And i can only assume it's because they just couldn't be bothered.

Im enjoying it so far, apart from having to stop and examine nearly even key press on the keyboard - in the dark, but really? Pretty shameful Bethesda.

Calm down, I now it is frustrating that some keys are hardcoded, but that was the same with Skyrim...at first. Then it got changed (I am not sure, but probably with one of the official patches.)

Perfectly calm thanks, just that I don't remember having this level of comedy binding issues in Skyrim, and certainly didn't with Fo3 and New Vegas.

Im more amazed at how they've managed to peddle backwards as much as they have. Almost impressive.

I think Bethesda is plenty grown up enough to accept mass criticism after releasing a $65 title that was unfinished. We're not hurting their feelings any.

I feel your pain, hoppingdeth, but I'm not sure it would help. I rebound my keys to my preferred map but the first time I tried to use a workshop I found I couldn't move forward or to the right. Apparently you have to have your keys bound to default keys to move while useing a workshop! Don't know what I'm going to do now. I hate the thought of constantly having to map and remap keys just to use a workshop.
