Khajiit and Sanguine

Post » Sun Oct 19, 2014 7:41 am

So somethings always been bothering me a bit. The Khajiit are generally seen as a culture that is very hedonistic. They smoke they drink and they have lots of six. At least, that's the perspective of many others I've noticed. For me the Khajiit are just are a race that praises a sugar, and some go overboard with Skooma. But I don't know to much really there...

Anyway, Sanguine is the Daedric Prince of debauchery and hedonism. Wouldn't it make sense for him to be very prominent in Khajiit culture? Is he and I just haven't noticed? Why is the Blood Cat not prominent?

Also I found this http://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/2g5l3x/smoking_traditions_of_tamriel_elsweyr/

Sanguine in Elsweyr doesn't seem to have the same affiliations as he does in other regions. The Khajiit regard him as a god of death and secret murder, according to Varieties of Faith.

I wonder why the Khajiit do that. It seems like they made Mephala and Sanguine one deity.

And wouldn't Sanguine still have an interest in Khajiiti society as they are so like him, even if they do not seem him for what the other cultures do?

I see it as cannibalism among the Bosmer: It is a societal norm for them and therefor not debauchery and hedonism by there standard, meaning he'd receive no credit.

I really like that explanation, it's all relative.
