Khajiit Caravan Schedule?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:51 pm

Does anyone know if the Khajiit caravans have a fixed schedule for when they come and go to their respective places? I'm trying to RP as a caravan guard with Ahkari's caravan and we've been sitting in Dawnstar for two weeks now. I thought we'd be on our way by now, but apparently not. It makes me wonder if their schedule is random or the player triggers their arrival/departure by leaving the vicinity.

Any information would be great. I've been chopping wood and mining this whole time as there's little to do in Dawnstar!

Nevermind, misread the question.

I don't think they should stay in Dawnstar for so long... Caravans usually depart after a few days, I don't think it has anything to do with the player. Maybe try going on a little adventure while they're safe in the town's vicinity and then roleplay that they forgot and left without you? :P

Ahkari's caravan travels between Riften and Dawnstar, so you might try searching along the way or in either Windhelm or Riften.

I'm with her caravan now in Dawnstar. The problem is, we haven't gone anywhere in a couple weeks now.

If you've been glued to their sides they might not go anywhere, it may take you leaving for them to set off. All I can say is try it and if they are gone when you get back then find em on the road.

Interesting discovery. I've often pondered what the "rules" are that dictates when they should head out, based on that observation perhaps the event to start moving is triggered by the player rather than having a fixed routine

I suppose that's my only option. I'll try it out and report back.

Well, I left the camp to go explore the hills nearby and upon returning, they had already cleaned up and ditched me! :pinch:

Time to high-tail it (no pun intended) and catch up with them!

So we have deduced that the Khajit caravans will not set off while you are in their camp or around them. The more I learn about this game the more I want to learn.
