Khajiit Character Tips?

Post » Wed May 14, 2014 7:31 pm

So, I've never really played a Khajiit before, but am loving playing one in ESO right now. I am feeling the urge to pick up Skyrim again, after way too long, and play as a female Khajiit. My knowledge on Khajiit is mediocre. So, I was wondering if you guys can give me any tips on how to frame or rp my character. I have the DLCs, but am on Xbox. The build is something I am still working on, but ideas are welcome.

If you have rped as a Khajiit before, what did you enjoy best or what would you recommend?

I am especially looking to finally complete the Mara quest by marrying. So, who in your opinion would be a good husband for a Khajiit? One of the Companion twins, since they are werewolfs? Best children?

Ideal home location? Windhelm for kicks? Outside the city?

What would be some ideal foods to snack on?

Best companion? Kharjo?

Ideal/Must-do quests for Khajiits?

Khajiit werewolf or vampire, or just no?

Thanks for any help you can offer me ^.^

My khajiit female is a pure pacifist thief- meaning she does not engage in combat at all but steals anything she can get her hands paws on.

My Khajiit started out as a thief traveling from city to city, stealing and staying in the shadows. Eventually he joined the thieves guild, graduated to guild master then evolved into an assassin. So much fun.

Mine is a total troll - I use him to experiment with the console. I'm working up my pickpocketing skill so he can strip people. He goes to a town, steals all of the town's cheese and then dumps it in someone's bedroom. He channels Sheogorath. But seriously, I think you'll have more fun if you don't fit him/her into the racial stereotype. Be all blustery and honourable. Perhaps even abhor the ones camped outside the city. Follow Ulfric and show him how wrong he is to shun those from beyond his borders or something

Take/hord/drink every bit of skooma you find. eat all the moonsugar! :D

Its a racial thing I guess because real life cats are always so smart and sneaky... so I say be something sneaky. A thief or an assassin, maybe both. (way to break the mold I know) but I just don't see many khajiits as warriors. They can be, don't get me wrong. I made a male khajiit who was hand to hand combat only. He slayed many dragons with his hands... er claws.

But if you make a female khajiit she should be sneaky. use illusion magic to get the enemy to fight each other.

I had a female khajiit once. only fought with daggers. Most of her kills were sneak kills.

Generally speaking cats and dogs don't get along, so I'm not so sure about associating with werewolves. :D

I had mine love rabbit. Raw of course. Anytime a rabbit ran by she would chase it down. Didn't matter what else she was supposed to be doing.

Light armor but she would never wear fur armor of any kind as it made her feel like she was wearing people's skins.

She hated walled cities (made her feel trapped) and made all her major hangouts in the open cities or towns. Only entering walled cities when quests demanded it.

No companions as she preferred solitude.

Hated wolves. Would carry some of their hides around ... just because. Loved sabercats though (considered them cousins), went out of her way not to have to kill any.

Tree sap good.

As a Khajiit, there's no such thing as too fabulous.

I can't give much advice without going into stereotypes, though. In general Khajiit are sneaky, intellingent, and silver-tongued. I recommend eating a lot of sweets, and doing whatever the hell you want; those seem to be the big Khajiit cultural norms.

I suppose first you should decide whether you want to be a traditional Khajiit (and if so, are you from decadent Pelletine or the wild Anequina?) or an Imperialized/whatever-other-nationized one (speaks perfect Tamrielic, doesn't particularly care for sweets, etc.).

If you don't want to get into stereotypes I suggest that you try to be the opposite of the sterotyopes and have your khajiit try to fit in with the nords and just be a warrior or something.

I'm play as one right now guess you would call him a mercenary light armor sneaky but does go toe to toe with start up blood shed in war. But he is also a master thief

With Khajiit, the thief is a mere stereotype. All Khajiit are clever however, so play thoughtfully and cautiously.

Might I suggest this lore I wrote on the Khajiit? It'll help you get into the mindset, as I performed careful research and anolysis of Khajiit within the games.

Or do what I did and play a mage. All but one of my kitties were a mage in one form or another. They do their own thing.

My main dragonborn was a illusionist/conjurer-merchant, so he still had a bit of traditional Khajiit in him, but he was Imperialized and a little pompous. He didn't care much about the smooth-skin chimps and detested the caravan scum, though. He was just in it for money and power, so he also had that "do what you want and screw everyone else' mentality Khajiit supposedly push on their society.
