[RELz][BETA] Khajiit Diversity Revamped

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:16 am

You know, I did not adjust the spells as originally set up by Atreus (so as to keep something of his original work in the mix).
I trusted his judgement on these, but if you think I should go back and redo the spells, then I will consder it :D.

Take Care

EDIT: After a closer look, I will say yes to changing the spells (as I believe that spell was a mistake on Atreus part).
The spell should have been a cast on target (no doubt). I will upload the new .esps as soon as I am able.

I thought they had magical silence? According to Lore they have the ability to magically silence themselves to be more stealthy. I'm not sure about blindness though.
They're all very good though! Even with the occasional texture mess-up (I think that's because of alpha-enabled stuff. All the landscape/static textures (They're all replaced) are usually crazied up and stroby :/ But never mind :P)

Hi Westly,

I hope you won't think me rude, but I was wondering if there was any chance of this being updated with LizTail's incredible new Khajiit body meshes from New Beast Bodies?

Though I absolutely love LizTail's new beast bodies, I do not think an update to these races would necessarily be beneficial or efficient on my part, as these races already use BB seamlessly (mesh-wise). The advantage to using LizTail's body would be the repositioning of the tail and the clawed hand mesh, but that alone is not enough to warrant an update when the bodies they have now work just fine (as BB races). That is not to say that any future beast races that I might make would not use LT's meshes; these, though, are stable as they are :) .

I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and for thinking of this mod for a possible update (as it does me good to know that my mods are thought of on any level past my own compy) :) .

I can understand your thinking on this, Westly. I was mostly thinking in terms of the adjustments LizTail made in version 3.0 to reduce clipping and thought that might be useful here. However, you may have already made similar changes in yours so that it wouldn't make a difference, or the clipping issues are small enough as to not really matter.

I hate to burst your bubble, Westly, but I use a lot of your mods. (I have a half dozen or so favorite modders and you're one of them.) You're just going to have to live with the fact that many of us love your mods as much as you do. Cheers! :foodndrink:

Westly, would all of your races in your mod happen to have their own unique shadow, such as the unique shadow pack provides? I think I read earlier on this thread that someone didn't see a shadow for thier character. And I think it would be wierd if they all had the same standard khajiit shadows, or no shadow at all.

Besides that question I just wanted to let you know that you did a great job and should be proud of yourself and everyone that helped you. :foodndrink:

I actually have Dagi-Raht textures for Robert and UFF bodies, but they have never released them (as I keep most of my Oblivion mods to myself as I can not fully realise them without additional help as I can not run Oblivion ATM due to a drive error [though I did play when it first came out]) . Most of my Oblivion mods have been made for friends, but I will see what I can do about relaying the DR textures to another modder who can flesh them out into a playable mod :) .

Probably no new breeds/sub-races would be added in an update, but I am thinking of
redoing a few of the body textures (like adding furry detail maps to simulate a deeper/moving
fur texture, making an alternate version of the Ohmes skins that have an obvious colouration
deliniation from skin to fur, and adding whiskers to the head meshes :) ). These days, I am
pressed for time, but these are ideally the things that I want to make for a more "quickly"
developed update.

Also, while not in any kind of true "lore" bracket, I want to make a type of snow dwelling Khajiit
(not a white tiger, but perhaps something more akin to snow leopards or lynxes or both; the latter
having a "bobbed" tail and the former being extra furry :D ).

So much to do and so little time to do it in :bolt:

You might want to wait 'til I finish the update mantioned above; then, if you like, I can include it with
the main DL of this mod (so as to provide an all in one ready option, should others want to use your
"more diverse" version of the diversity inherent in the original mod ;) ).

I can wait, though in my incomplete esp, the comments response of that mod goes from 50 Disposition and above, and I reverted all slave back to the vanilla as ya races are too cute / big to be in such captivity, imo. :P

But ya, I love the ya cute mod and I cannot wait to see the "final" version!

Ya take care as well!

Well, I have already updated the download at PES and do not have time to do more today (so no requests at this time).

At any rate, here is a DL for the updated .esps (so as not to re-download the full mod):

http://rapidshare.com/files/41707106/Khajiit_Diversity_Revamped_Updated_ESPs.7z.html

(these do not have to be downloaded if you are downloading the full mod from PES for the first time)

Thank you for this wonderful mod! Thanks to you, I've installed Morrowind once again, after years of not playing any game... :)
I've got just one request: Could you re-upload the silence/blindness update fix, please? The rapidshare link is dead :(

Thanks & Take care! :)

EDIT:
Oh, and one more little thing: Redgard NPCs greet my Dagi-Raht with "Greetings, Argonian. What can I do for you?" (audio greeting) :D
