Khajiit leg structure

Post » Thu Jul 21, 2011 8:19 pm

We only seen the top half of the Khajiit in skyrim so lets speculate on the legs. Khajiit screen shot->http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rdEdm3_KROw/Tbk8plLIcFI/AAAAAAAAAR4/0xh5vJAe_6c/s400/1240khajiitTemple02.bmp
Khajiit are a weird sort, walking cat-men they are. I played both MW and OB and their was a couple differences between them i did not like and some i liked. i would like to see MW's legs but still wear boots and full helmets

OB's legs->http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa120/85natrapS/Oblivion2008-04-2222-41-07-03.jpg
MW's legs->http://www.liztail.com/khaj_wip_clean_2.jpg

With all the races going with equal starting health, stamina, max-encumbrance, speed i don't think they will stray away from the Ob's more man than cat look, but the way the khajiit was standing i could see them having a MW stance (with feet that look more like paws)

I say like Morrowind for both Khajiit and Argonians.

No for wearing boots, they should be able to wear full helmets though

You forgot Argonians. :cry:

By the way, confirmed that beasts will actually be beasts again. I hope we'll be able to wear helmets/boots.

Skyrim Style. Also, racial differences are supposed to be major, but speed is the same.

I don't care how they look really, as long as my puss is in boots.

its also says that every race/six will have their own way of wearing armor. so that means every race can wear any armor besides the races unique starter armor

Morrowind's legs were insanely cool. I'm willing to give up closed helms and shoes to have them.

What makes a cat look like a cat to me is the way they move-super smooth, graceful, sinuous. The cat like legs in Morrowind seemed to make the Khajiit look awkward. So I don't care what kind of legs they have, I just wish for more graceful animation of the Khajiit, though I doubt I'll get it.

From the Khajiit screenshot I figured they'd be built Oblivion style, but I'm glad I was wrong :celebration:

Well I like the idea of having different animations and a slightly different leg structure, but I think Khajiit legs didn't look so good in Morrowind. If the effect could be a little more subtle it would probably be for the best.

Then again, all the walking animations (and all the legs) of all the races looked bad in vanilla Morrowind, imo :P

edit: btw, I didn't do the poll, no it doesn't make the topic any better, there are way too many polls on the skyrim board :P

In Morrowind I used to laugh every single time I saw a beast walk. I sure hope they don't ruin the epic upper half of that khajiit with a pitiful lower half.

I did enjoy Morrowind's structure of the Khajiit, but I hope they can wear full helms and boots. (I'm pretty sure Bethesda said every race will have unique armors)

I liked the Morrowind style, it really made the beast races stand out and feel different. The beast races from Oblivion were too human for my taste.

I don't mind not wearing boots or closed helms but there would have to be some special abilities or stats that compensate for giving them up (like Khajiits could jump higher and Argonians could swim faster).

In the skyrim screenshot you can see his thighs coming towards the screen out of his armor..or clothes or whatever..regardless they are way more forward then they should be if they were regular legs so I think they have MW style legs.. I however would rather have OB legs and have armor then MW legs with no armor.. my favorite would be MW legs with armor

Haha ya I used to laugh every time I saw anyone walk though. I wouldn't mind if they couldn't wear boots and full helms designed for non-beast races but whats to stop them from wearing ones made for beast races? But ya as long as they don't just make them look like humans covered with fur/scales I'll be happy. Even Daggerfall's style (for argonians at least) was better than Oblivion's.

If the khajiit stand on two legs then they should be Oblivion style. They are part man after all.

This would add to them being more catlike I suppose. Although it doesn't really bother me.

Khajiits always stood on 2 legs, even with a cat structured leg.
...his knee look like there in front of him so i would say that they are going to be more of MW...

Ya with a cat structured leg they looked ridiculous. I know that this is a video game, but why do you think in real life cats walk on four legs instead of two? It wouldn't work.
