http://i.neoseeker.com/n/4/khajiittemple02_thumb.jpg, look closely at the pauldron. It appears that his fur is going through the gaps it the armor and laying over it. Now I can't tell for sure, the fur is the same colour as the Khajiit's, but it is also possible that the fur is part of the pauldron. The colour is so close though, and this has me very hopeful. If not, I am still hopeful that the beast races will have better fitting armour, with their tails taken into consideration.

Another thing I noticed, I can't tell if he is just bending his legs, or if perhaps his legs are more like Morrowind's style anthro-beast legs.

What are your thoughts?

I believe the fur is just part of the armor. I can't tell, concerning the legs.

I'm with this guy. Even though the fur is probably from the armor, it's still nice to see that the khajiits have gotten more furry looking, by the details which aren't from the armor.

Yeah, the more I stare at it, the more I think you are right.... However, the armour still seems to sit more... naturally on his frame than it did in previous games.

What would you guys like to see concerning beast race armors? I would really like to see the tails fit with their armour and maybe have more tail slots, even if they are just for decorative stuff.

Can't really tell, it could be the armor, or maybe his fur, I kinda hope it's the latter.

Good news is that the khajiit is based more on the Morrowind version.

Yeah, I am really looking forward to the more Morrowind style hair and faces. I hope that fur patterns, colour, and maybe war paint will be implemented well; I'd love to have a white tiger Khajiit with blue warpaint all over... would be sweet.

I think it's his fur. It's the exact same color and texture, and why would you wear armor with fur sticking out of the joints?

I'm fairly sure the armor includes some fur. It looks darker and dirtier than the Khajiit's fur. The armor looks outstanding. It looks a bit exotic, but also aged and beat up. His face is also remarkable. He does NOT look like a cartoon. He gaze makes me feel a little like Purina.

i think the top bushy half is just in the armour, but the lower half of the arm is the fur of the character

Judging by the bend of his thighs, I'd say his legs are anthro-like. (forget the real term)

If not, he'd have to be squatting reeeeally low to balance. With anthro legs, the bend would make more sense.

Here's a http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Yueu_IBdMVM/TawwxfqUeNI/AAAAAAAAAho/d8W7kGmKGpQ/s1600/skyrim_khajiit.jpg.

Hmm. I didn't really think much about the angle of the Khajiit's thighs there; it could be that his legs are beast-like, but impossible to tell without knowing what kind of pose he's in. That could be a fairly natural position for the thighs either way.

Heh, that Oblivion cat looks hopelessly out of place between Morrowind and Skyrim...

What use does a Khajiit have with fur armor? They are already covered in Fur to keep them warm, therefore it may be his fur.

That would be extremely uncomfortable if that was his fur, I would think. It's the armor.

I agree it would be nice if the armor accommodates the tails of the beast races but I doubt it will.

In response to The Tribal, I hated the Morrowind legs too. I don't want the feet to be spray painted human feet like in Oblivion, but I certainly don't want to see deformed Morrowind legs. I understand people want them, but I can't get over that they aren't structurally sound for a bipedal being.

What use does a Khajiit have with fur armor? They are already covered in Fur to keep them warm, therefore it may be his fur.

They Khajiit are native to a very warm climate. Just because they have fur doesn't mean they never feel cold. Many house cats for example like to stay inside most of the time in the Winter in places that have cold Winters, and during colder months many cats love laying near heat vents and such, and zoo cats love heated rocks, etc.

I would be nice if there was beast specific armors, it does look like a perfect fit for him.

I think the tails will now be attached to the body now instead of a separate mesh. It will look more natural. No more butt-tails.

I hope the tails are slightly fluffier now as well. No more wobbly rods sticking out their ass.

I'm pretty sure the fur is part of his armor.

Also, I wonder what kind of armor that is?

The more screenshots I see, the more it looks like armor in the game is going to be quite varied.

http://uesp.net/wiki/File:Redguard-SRathra.gif from Redguard remains my favorite Khajiit design thus far, so I'm certainly hoping that the Khajiit in Skyrim will be nice and "fuzzy" as well. To me, the Khajiit should look cuddly and huggable - not like some kind of depraved leopard-painted human actor from Cats. I know that some people may hold the opposite view, but so long as Bethesda's sticking with the more bestial Khajiit subspecies I think it'd make more sense.

I think a more notable observation from that shot is the handcrafted bow he is wielding.

I think that its almost certainly fur coming up through the armor.

It's hard to say. It could be that the Khajiit have been given some dark, mangy fur along their shoulders, lower neck and upper torso this time around to represent some kind of mane and to give them a more intimidating or fearsome look. Then again it could very well be the armour, and in fact, when I first saw it, that was my initial impression.

I think it's his fur. It's the exact same color and texture, and why would you wear armor with fur sticking out of the joints?

Maybe the smithing aspect of the game allows us to create layered and more unique armour designs. The armour the khajiit has on looks to be some kind of iron, fur blend. If that were the case, then who would argue against more variety in the possible customization the game provides, and who would argue against greater depth in a skill's applications.

In my opinion, if it is a part of the armour...then it looks pretty cool.
