Khajiit Tail animation

Is it possible to make better tail animations for Khajiits? It just looks plain like a piece of rope right now.

Hmmm prolly could make a new idle animation that makes the tail bones move, would be great for all the beast races... but I dont know anything about animation >_<

Then i think he should give it a go. The rope is just weird and doesn't looke like a part of the Character.

Seconded. I play beast races now and then, but the fact that the tail doesn't really do much when idle annoys me to no end. I've been wondering if there was one that would make the tail more twitchy, like a cat when it's getting ready to pounce.

trouble is, like all animations, you do it to the khajitt, it will also effect argonains and any other custom race that uses a tail.

Not the expert here but wouldn't it also affect mods that rig cloaks or other clothing items to the tail to make a physics effect as well?
(been awhile since I posted here so I'm not sure if people are still doing that)

Eh I dont know, if you just edit the idle animation and not touch the skeletonbeast.nif then it might not mess with them.

no no, he talknig about rigging...

if cloaks are rigged to the tail, and you make the tail twih around in the idle animation, cloaks would also then twich around if rigged to the tail bones.

Which doesn't neccessarily have to be looking bad. I mean like swaying in the wind or something... Or am I wrong?

It might look a bit odd when a cloak swishes alot in little or no wind and only at the bottom half XD
I suppose it would just be a compatibility issue.

How can you "see" the wind in the game anyways?

Well without using any Pocahontas references you don't actually see the wind
you'd see how the wind has effects on other items such as the trees, grass and loose clothing such as cloaks.
It would just look a bit odd when trees are gently swaying in the light breeze while a cloak is thrashing about every so often.
Either way it's not really that much of a big deal just something that should be taken note of <.<

I never noticed anything wind like in game at all.. and I usually walk through the forests and such. I think UL added stuff that "moved" with the wind.. I maybe wrong.. or just crazy I'm leaning towards the crazy part.

That would be great. Just make the tail swings a bit more in the normal idle and in combat even more :)
Oh and if possible make it animated at multiply bones not only the single one like in the vanilla anim :(
