They should be the opposite. They shed all their fur, get naked, turn into a Breton, and attend fancy dinner parties.

Hircine isn't picky about what race he turns into werewolves. ;)

I'm sure some Khajiit attend fancy dinner parties.

Either way the Khajiit are a civilized race just as the Imperials and such are. They are cat-like just as the humans are chimp-like, but they aren't primal animals. The werewolf situation is something totally different for the Khajiit just as much as it is for the other races.

Why should a cat turning into a dog be any different from a human turning into a dog?

i understand, but me being a human the khajiit already make me feel beast like ya know? i was really considering the khajiit to get the whole beast feel this time as i rp through skyrim, since i really get into character while i play lol so how i see it when i play a khajiit i would have a more beast like mentality as i play and turning into a werewolf wouldnt give me the same experience as if i were playing a human, just how i see it

The mere fact that khajiits look bestial doesn't mean they are, infact if you want to play a khajiit AS a khajiit it's the total opposite to a beast if you think about it, A khajiit is cunning and stealthy while a werewolf is strong and draws a straight line between it and its victim.

Are you seriously saying that the game shouldn't have were wolves because you like playing cat characters?

ok but pretend your in a dark cave and a khajiit goes into the shadows, then pounces on you, you manage to survive and as you create distance he starts shape shifting and turns into a were wolf...

now picture fighting lets say an imperial warrior, who out of nowhere shifts into a werewolf

which is more dramatic and intimidating, the lion looking thing turning into a wolf

or the human looking thing turning into a wolf

its not the play style im concerned with, its the appearance

I'd pay to see a khajiit-werewolf trying to chase himself up a tree.

no, what i am saying is i love the werewolf aspect and that aspect may change the character i pick to make the experience more dramatic,

i wanted to try khajiit, but i rather go werewolf as an imperial than as a khajiit, and was wondering if anyone felt the same

you obviously didnt read my post

It's just because we're used to the classic legends of men transforming into wolves. Once you understand that Elder Scrolls lore allows you to be a Khajiit lycanthrope, you can make peace with that fact and develop a proper back story. Then things should "feel right".

The only reason it doesn't feel right is because inside your head you have it established that cat's are one end of the spectrum, and dogs are the other, and they are to never meet or touch.

What you have to realise to make this ok is that, like other posters have said, the Khajiit are humanoid with an ancestral animal influence, just like humans and their different offshoots are. A Khajiit isn't a cat who happens to be bipedal. The Khajiit the character can play are anolagous to humans with the same civilized tendencies and mannerisms in a general sense. Werewolfism ( i know, i made it up) is more about unlocking every race's inner bestiality, natural rage and animalistic tendencies and letting them overshadow the civilized part of your personality. Humans are not blank slates to be altered by cool effects, they're just as stylized as Khajiiti. It works just as sensibly for Khajiiti as it does for humans to be turned into a more bestial form of themselves.

The Khajiiti in Skyrim that are playable are more cosmetically feline than they are in character.

You can be a cat turning into a dog. So in other words, you can be a [censored][censored].

edit: LMAO, I actually had to edit, cause for some reason it actually let the words go through when I first wrote them together! :hubbahubba:

They could do something cool and let Khajiit's turn into a were-creature that isn't wolf-like. Imagine your Khajiit character being able to transform into a were tiger. Catching lycanthropy doesn't automatically mean you have to be a werewolf, does it?

Not at all, it's no different than turning into a werewolf from any other race.

Your race has no effect on lycomorphy. You turn into what you are bitten by.
