Dont we all want the Morrowind feet?

Doesnt mean they couldnt wear boots and helms though. Theyd just have to wear stuff made for them.

I think the leg slider is a good idea, we'ed be able to go from human like (oblivon) all the way to morrowind beastiality. That way everyone is happy and depending on how humanlike they are could dictate whether or not they can wear shoes. Bethesda could also have npcs on different ends of the slider

It's a difficult choice. I want different types of Khajiits and Argonians, like they are present in TES lore. Don't need them all, I'm fine if they say that of some of the sub-species do not travel outside of their provinces.
I'm against ideas like the leg slider, since it would put many variations of Khajiits/Argonians into one type that's highly variable (in other words: it's against the lore!). Instead, like I propose, having different types to choose from, you can choose for example the Ohmes, a the Bosmer-like type of Khajiit, and wear boots, or choose Suthay, the type of Morrowind, and don't wear boots.

There's no reason the Khajiit and Argonians shouldn't be allowed to have any footwear, even if they need a different style.

Judging by a lot of the posts here, a lot of people wouldn't care if the beasts could wear boots or not: Either because they don't like playing Khajiit or Argonians anyway, so their opinion doesn't matter, or they already like having their beast-people not wearing shoes.

I remember a mod for Morrowind that gave the beast people access to boots: They still got the lower legguards, but the foot.nif was removed.

this problem could be avoided very easily........just take those stupid animal crossing characters out of the game entirely. make up some reason why they arent in skyrim. maybe nords keep mistaking them for wildlife on their hunts and shoot them all by mistake. honestly the environment would be improved if they removed the pet store atmosphere.

if they have to be in the game then make them actually look at move like beast races. argonians should move more clumsily on land since their primary habitat is water however in water they should move much faster than other races. during conversations have a mouse tail dangling out of their mouth and a big lump in their throat or munching on a piece of lettuce. there eyes should start looking independently in odd directions while they are talking to you. khajit should be quicker and bouncier but easily distracted by yarn, silverware, rats (obviously) and should lick their crotches once in a while in the middle of a conversation. if you want beast races then lets not get skimpy.......make them actual beast races.

...
I hope that post was a joke.

The problem in Morrowind wasn't that they couldn't wear boots. It was that they didn't get a compensatory equipment slot, for instance tail armor. I actually like having them be more exotic but that shouldn't mean lesser.

I want the digitigrade Morrowind legs back. I don't see why they couldn't wear footwear on their paws like this. There are so many ways how you can add protective clothing to the feet without having to make it shoes.

More beastly sounds good. Maybe beasts could require specialized helmets/boots.

New sub-species please. I'd prefer the Daggerfall style Khajiit... no more furries.

Yuck, no. Bosmer-Khajiit are a personal Skyrim nightmare for me. What's the sense in cat-people if they look like elves. Furries and anthros all the way please. This time with whiskers, claws and paws.
And tail armor would be cool.

Claw slashes? Khajiit claws are deadlier than Glass Daggers, according to the lore. However, hopefully the animation would be such they are actually displayed as treating their claws as a well-refined Martial Art.

I agree. You figure a tiger bringing it's paw down on a human, claws extended causes massive damage. I want to see that from Kajiit and Argonians.

Might want to choose a better word :spotted owl:

I wouldn't mind armor to look different on the beast races if we're assuming they have different body shapes.

I've dug up digitigrade shoe and armor designs before, I can do it again. I'd even offer to design a few if I had a tablet/scanner.

Paws and talons just look cooler than human feet. Human feet are really quite ugly.

I'm honestly not a fan of digitigrade legs/feet. I hope they find a happy middle ground between Morrowind and Oblivion. Human hands and feet with paint was a tad ridiculous, but I wouldn't mind human-like hands and feet with actual claws, etc. I'm not going to blow a gasket if that's the direction they choose to take, but if they restrict armor again I will definitely use mods to change it just as I did with Morrowind.

Edit:
Silly me... I forgot I already replied to this.

Morrowind style appearances.

For boots and helms, make alternate versions of these items for beasts. There was a Morrowind mod that when you equipped you beast character with steel boots, they were automatically equipped as steel leggings.

As a game studio, they should be doing these as well. It's more important than sprinting.

I voted Oblivion in both cases.

While I think they could use more unique hands/feet, I think Oblivion did fine with tails and Morrowind took it too far for my tastes. More animal than Oblivion but more human than Morrowind in my opinion.

I disagree, they are significantly different to the other 8 characters, so I think they are a great inclusion. I also like the fact they are slightly persecuted, which makes for an interesting play through. Freeing slaves in Morrowind was great fun.

Redguards are the most boring by far. How anybody can play with one I will never know, but variety is the spice of life as they say.
