Khuul Expanded
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8503

This is an expansion of the existing fishing village of Khuul. Located off the north-western Redoran coastland, the tiny settlement served little purpose but a junction between Vvardenfell and Solstheim. Now it is a little more lively, without straying too far from Bethesda's original vision.

Features:

- 12 new cells, which includes nine shack homes, a workshop, a mead tavern and a subterranean bandit hideout.

- Added additional ship, boats, dock area, and more aesthetic improvements to make Khuul a more convincing fishing settlement.

- Improved AI pathgrids.

- 19 new NPCs.

- One short but engaging quest with plenty of choices to make, allowing you to truly play your character. A new smuggler gang has arrived and is causing trouble in the village. Work closely with the Empire to drive the thieves out of Khuul.

Installation

- Extract Khuul Expanded.esp to your "Morrowind/Data Files/" directory.

If you use MGE:
A replacement grass mod has been provided to clear the tall grass out of Khuul. If you use MGE-rendered grass, a replace "Grass Beta_West Gash.esp" with "Grass Beta_West Gash-CT_Khuul".esp. Most of the grass that was previously in the way has been removed.

Feel free to distribute this mod however you wish. I did not create any of the resources used in this .esp. If you encounter any issues/bugs with this mod, please feel free to chime in here so I can fix them next release.

Khuul Expanded.esp cleaned with TESAME.

Nice expansion, I hardly noticed what the changes were from the screens, they were so seamless! I had to do some lookin' ;)

Great work on this! I'll have to try it out.

Is this the first time someone did a "Khuul Expanded" mod? I'm surprised that you're the first person to do it, Casey, after eight years of this game being on the market.

I'm not sure if this is the first time Khuul's been worked on (aside from LGNPC), but I did this because I wanted to do a small mod that tested every aspect of good design. So there's a little bit of scenery, a little bit of story, a little bit of dialogue, little bit of scripting, etc.

Interesting. I've always thought of Khuul as the best kept secret in Morrowind. It's a truly lovely little village my characters have enjoyed immensely.

Yeah. In fact the amount of custom dialogue should compliment it somewhat. I tried my best to make the extra content seamless.

Thanks. :)

I just updated the mod. Apparently there were some missing resources and a Bloodmoon dependency. It can be re-downloaded from PES now, v1.1.

It's not actually the first Khuul expansion - there was one that completely changed it (from memory, it used the Hlaalu architecture) - but it was in about 2003 and was quite beta-ish.

This looks really well done. :)

I have just updated this to version 1.2.
Abot helped me with some additional .esp cleaning. Should be good now. :)

Hey, would you mind putting an alternate download site up please, like TESNexus? For whatever reason, PES does not like me trying to download this mod. I was hoping the problem might disappear on its own, but its been a couple days now. Ill be sure to test and rate when I get a chance though.
