Kick Attack

Hi guys, after reading and seeing plenty of videos and previews and other stuff, something came up my mind, you know we can bash with our shields when blocking, well wouldn't be cool if we could kick while blocking with a one handed weapon, kind like the shield bash.

Well i personally are more the precision strikes type more than just slicing til it falls dead, but imagine with the physics of the game, you′re at the top of a tower, or a fort, and you kick down the stairs or off the building a baddie, to me sounds a perfect "owned you".

Its easily possible...

1. Oblivion has replacement power attack animations.
2. In Skyrim their is a perk that allows a 25% chance of stun when you use the BACKWARDS power attack.

All that would have to be done is changing the BACKWARDS power attack animation so that the PC kicks regardless of weapon type.

Really though, M&B warband has a kick feature and its useful at times.. booting somebody off a siege tower or something of the sort. As long as it wasn't some OP deathboot like dark messiah then it'd be a cool feature

its fun yes, but would sort of detract from everything else if you were booting people off a mountainsides instead of attacking them with your sword or using magic.

DM is a fun game because you can boot, and lets face it, the highlight of that game is the fun combat and the fun combat alone. Its a completely linear action RPG.


I was certainly hoping that kicking would be an option if hand to hand was a skill, but its not. If it were then I'd totally want to kick people in the face and watch them roll down a hill :D

Everyone knows that kicking is physically impossible, just as it's physically impossible to block while using two weapons.

I wouldn't want it in my game because it would be too unrealistic. I don't want things as fantastical or unrealistic as kicks and blocking in my game. No way, Jose!

I don't really care one way or the other, but there should be atleast one kill animation where you run someone through and then kick him to free the sword.

well maybe not add it as an attack, but like some of you said, an animation in which you kick to take his/her weapon/s of and then kill it, or push it down the hill or whatever, would be beautyfull.
