Kidnapping at sanctuary hills fatally bugged

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2016 8:48 pm

So after fighting my way through a hospital full of supermutants to rescue the hostage from sanctuary hills the game crashed out to the PlayStation desktop as soon as I tried to exit back out to the commonwealth. Reloading and trying again produced the same result, as did the next several very annoying attempts, exiting and restarting the game does not help, nor does restarting the PlayStation. Upon trying to load the autosave before I even entered the damned hospital of crashes it just gives me a perpetual load screen, the save will not load at all. The nearest working save is more than 5 game play HOURS behind and 2 quests back, I must now spend the entire night trying to get back to where I was, to say that I am pissed would be an understatement, in fact, I'm considering cracking the game in half and chucking it in the trash after this. This is not the first time this buggy piece of crap has crashed either, it actually does it fairly regularly, but this time it bugged so badly it corrupted save games and made further progress completely impossible, I must now redo a huge chunk of the damned game. How did this crap even get out of Beta testing?

I have the latest update to both the game and system.

Is their any way to fix this?

Will Bethesda make it right?

How long did you have the quest? It is supposed to fail after 15 ingame days and if it doesn't it bugs and doesn't let you complete it.

I took it as soon as it became available. It is not failing, it is crashing completely out of the game as soon as I try to leave the location.

try turning auto save off till you get out of that location, maby that is what is causing you to crash. Also remember to delete your save files every so often, saves ontop of saves are not good for your PlayStation.

I don't know if you have seen my post, almost same thing, same quest kidnapping at sanctuary hills. Just that it ain't at same location but at federal stock pile. Didn't crash but bugged nonetheless not allowing me to start/complete it, shouldn't have to "let it fail" at all should be up to gamer.
