I'm wondering if it will just be Nord children though.

There will be kids, so I can say this topic can be locked as it has been answered to full satisfaction.

I just hope they won't make them very annoying like Mayor [Enter offensive word here]face in Fallout 3. I really wanted to hurt him... But I couldn't...

I never wanted to see kids in ES games. But if they're going to be in "Skyrim", I hope Bethesda makes them invulnerable. It would be weird to have players killing NPC kids.

You mean weird like throwing Molotov cocktails at innocent people in a restaurant in GTA4?

Or weird like 'Huh...that was weird...oh well'?

I think we crossed that line a loooooong time ago.

Personally I find their invulnerability to be the real problem- I understand it, but it's less jarring for me to have no children present than to have children who cannot be harmed even if a small thermonuclear device detonates between their feet.

I thought in Fallout that kids should have been treated more or less normal, but with sneaky protections put in. You always miss them in VATS, they change direction just as you fire in real-time and if you try to outwit the protections, the Mysterious Stranger pops up and shoots you in the face.

I'd expect to only see Nord children in Skyrim (not that there couldn't be children of other races there, but I assume they'd be very much a minority), mainly as "decoration" NPCs to run around villages and such.

Fo shizzle! Except I'm not going to, as most threads about children have been locked, it's good to have at least one active for us to abuse use for future reference. Provided of course this one can stay open.

Not discussing "killable kids" mods would be a good start to keeping it open. That's on Bethesda's list of no-no topics.

OK enough. A moderator gave advice, immediately someone posts about killing children and another discusses moderator actions.
